Is Spurrier's accomplishments at SC comparable his Florida run?

A couple of years ago, he had strung together a couple of seasons where they started off good, but lost a lot the end of each year. I think most just wrote it off as "its South Carolina". I remember several of us arguing that he was or wasn'tas good of a coach that he used to be. Now, they are a legit top 15 team for the last 3 years and set up well for the future.

He's obviously changed his styles, recruiting strategies, and I think overall has done a tremendous job as a coach in building a program. In that regard, I say yes, what he's done at SC is comparable to his job at Florida.

until the other programs adapted and man could they score. He actually tries to put more emphasis on defense now than he did and<div>had it going pretty good with Ellis Johnson who we all know can coach a defense. He is a great coach in my opinion and a great</div><div>character as well.</div>

FSU every year. it took him five years to figure out that you have to recruit your *** off at SC but what he has done to build on Holtz is impressive. He also enjoyed UF, UT, UGA, and now UNC being down while at SC.

than he ever did at Florida. That's not to say that he's being lazy, he's just transitioned to more of a CEO role. Honestly, I've never really understood why South Carolina seems to have such a tough time.

especially at places like SC, Ole Miss, MSU. What's so amazing to me is how he changed the game offensively almost 20 years ago and now his teams are built more on ball control and defense. Just5years ago, a down UT, UF andUGA would stomp the crap out of SC.
