Most of that was probably coach speak, but what's he going to say? "Oh yeah they totally lied to me about everything! 17 those guys!!!!"

I honestly believe him when he said he just needed a change in life and a new challenge. I think most men can attest to that. The last thing you want to do in life is be complacent and I assume that was starting to happen with him.

Now, the facilities, historic investment into the program, recruiting prowess, conference affiliation, fan support, and support from the administration surely had roles in him choosing to make that move to State. But I really do think the major reason was simply for a new challenge and a change in scenery.
