Jim Bob Bryant would make our game with them a rivalry game again for sure.
Funny I think we won like 18 straight against y'all I think y'all have won just 17 total. Bout time the skirts stepped up in this rivalry. Oh and of course 7>1

I was thinking the series was 35-14-1. Raiders had a streak of 18 wins once & Scots have current 6 game winning streak.

My crackpot statistician says Denson has coached football for 7 yrs at Richmond. During that time they've gone 71-20. No State Championships, No Regional Championships, No Regional Finals, 1 Conference Championship.
So you saying it's his fault we haven't won a state championship in 8 years? I just don't understand your point
If you look at the prior 7 yrs. Richmond went 89-10. 1 State Championship, 1 Regional Championship, 3 Regional Finals appearances, 6 Conference Championships.

The numbers speak for themselves. One could say he is more of the problem than the solution. Yes, he did fine as a player, but anybody could've quarterbacked those teams. Maybe king is on to something, Swinnie for Coach.

Color of a coaches skin shouldn't matter. Can he lead your program in the right direction is the issue. Is Nic Saban a great coach or a great recruiter or both? Select the right individual and the problems will take care of itself Dude.

You're right, it shouldn't, but it does. That's just the reality. Why do you think the NFL has that joke of a clause called the Rooney Rule?

If they are going to hire a Coach based on skin color then my favorite color is blue. Unfortunately, most Coaches who are blue are either dead or close to it. Therefore, I wouldn't use skin color as a determining factor in hiring a Coach!!! I would hire someone who truly cares about the kids and is a great motivator. Someone who considers the players and other Coaches as family.

If the above is true, I hope it serves as an eye opener to "the committee" particularly Dr. Goodman that will lead them to better decisions in the future.

On another note... stop the back and forth bickering. It's ludicrous and non-pertinent to the discussion.

Somebody mentioned something about coaches records...so for what it's worth...... Hoggard holds the record for having the thickest skin. He was head coach for 9 years and was at Richmond for around 17 years. Average stay for a Richmond Coach is around 4.6 years. As Coach Barnes once said, always win the last game of the year and you will have no problems. He was not talking about the Scotland game.

Not too sure about the years, but after Shuler was Kevin Mabe, and then Young.

That is correct Mabe was between Shuler & Young.

Castellano's record was 19-7 by the way not 15-5.

Also for all those that complained about the Run first Offense under the prior staff they averaged 40 & 42 points during Hoggards last 2 years. Under Castellano's pass happy Offense the Raiders averaged 37 last year & 34 this year. Thought that was rather interesting. Less points & less wins last 2 yrs, guess somebody knew what they were doing afterall.
