You done bumped yo headTheir brand is high. They just won the HBCU national championship. They could be competitive in CUSA and be in the playoff within a decade.
plus it would help close Valley, a drain on our states resources.

Exactly this. The HBCU “National Championship Game” is just the winners of the SWAC and MEAC. So you’re winning a “national championship” that is only contested for by 18 teams. The MEAC only has six teams in it! There are other HBCU schools that don’t play in one of those conferences. I guess they’re not eligible for the “national championship.”The HBCU “National Championship” is on the same prestige level as the MAIS 6A “State” Championship
Another thing in a long list of stupid shlt that we just can't get right.Just when will JSU & the state reach a deal over funding a new stadium?

Maybe because watching baseball is as boring as watching steel rust. Seeing some little jackrabbit adjust his nut sack 18 times at every at bat isn't everyone's cup of tea.Another thing in a long list of stupid shlt that we just can't get right.
MS in general just needs to get out of the industry of trying to make football elite. We don't need the Vet, so bulldoze it, expand the hospital, build JSU their smaller stadium. I mean our 7A high school only has 24 teams, what the 17 kinda league is that? And we all know about the geniuses in the MAIS. Most of our elite high school guys go out of state, heck Ole Miss recruits primarily out of state, and our best ball is played in the JUCO ranks because our high school coaching 'fraternity', made up of Peaches and that clown who got into the fight in Waynesboro, coach like it's 1987. There's just no sense in being united about it. Give everybody what they want. Let JSU have their national title, and as others said, it means about as much as Hartfield's title.
MS is a baseball state, always has been, always will be. Follow the money. Nearly every county seat has invested in a damned turf facility to host travel ball. We actually have real national titles in this area. Seems like the answer to what we should do is pretty obvious. Why hasn't a downtown Jackson baseball field been built yet? Someone explain to me how we mess this up so bad. Or heck, put it in Flowood near the river. Instead we built it in a parking lot in Pearl. I mean look around, there are shaved armed bros all throughout MS who would love to tell you about their glory days in 2002. Cleating chasing is a professional dating model round here.
Eh, you missed the point. You still have all the football you want. And basketball. Just expect them to be average. Basketball maybe slightly better.Maybe because watching baseball is as boring as watching steel rust. Seeing some little jackrabbit adjust his nut sack 18 times at every at bat isn't everyone's cup of tea.
You expect Mississippi State to be exciting when the main campus is in Starkville?Maybe because watching baseball is as boring as watching steel rust. Seeing some little jackrabbit adjust his nut sack 18 times at every at bat isn't everyone's cup of tea.
