For a top 20 paid coach, that’s pretty abysmal. And for reference, Howland was 59-67 while coming off a much worse situation…and pre NIL at that.
He has to recruit the perfect team to run his style of ball and win in the SEC. It’s just not working. Especially with key pieces being swapped out year after year from here on out.For a top 20 paid coach, that’s pretty abysmal. Im not sure you can win in the SEC with his style of play. Players are just too talented. He has to recruit the perfect team to run his style of ball and win in the SEC. It’s just not working. Especially with key pieces being swapped out year after year from here on out.
Yeah but last year in the toughest league ever we had 4 games that if you win 1 or 2 you’re probably a 7 or 6 seed and win a tournament game instead of playing a national championship winning coach and lottery pick round 1. Kentucky, Bama, and Texas at home and Arkansas on the roadThis year obviously a hot mess. Last year probably underachieved by a couple of games. The first two years I don’t think anyone had any real issues with.
It was something that could be overlooked as long as we were making NCAAT’s, but in a bad year it makes the first three years look lesser than they were in real time.

I'm afraid if our younger players can't get playing time on this team, they're not likely to ever improve enough to be SEC players. He needs to play the young players to get them ready for next year and hope to add some better pieces. Selmon needs to explain that he has one more shot to get better. The SEC is not that tough this year. Its inexcusable to be this bad but too early to cut bait
I think you can, just have to commit to it. Sort of a niche.Im not sure you can win in the SEC with his style of play. Players are just too talented.
