This is pretty much it, along with him playing 1A ball and not really being a full time QB until this year.The young man is good but Boaz is incredible raw with not so great mechanics.
He has a lot to work on as far as his footwork and throwing mechanics go to be a successful D1 QB but the raw tools are there if he puts in the work. You can't teach 6'7 with functional mobility and a good arm.
If he goes to Carolina he'll redshirt and they'll work with him on his deficiencies, he'll sit behind Howell at least two years either way and if he's progressed enough he'll get a shot to win the QB job and if not they'll move him to TE or OT (or he'll transfer out to some place willing to give him a chance at QB if he's dead set on playing QB).
