Months later, Greene is out and Cohen is in.

Now, obviously, I wasn’t in the room for these calls, but I have a very reliable source in the AD office (horshack, it’s horshack) feeding me this intel.***

Baseball players that played with him said he was a bit too intense and cussed like a sailor often. I've been to a father son baseball camp that he led and he gave the talk about only recruiting players that had good morals as well as good talent. Can't just have talent.

Other than that I have no first or second hand knowledge. It does seem like he was at work much more often than at home but that's just speculation.

I don’t really care how good of a coach he was on the diamond, he was derelict in his duty with nil and really put is in a financial pickle. The Cohen brown noses covering up for him did a lot of damage too.

To put that into perspective, we were bombarded by people assuring us that he was hyper intelligent. He was so unqualified they literally had to drive it into our fan base that he was capable and not just a baseball bro. That should have been a pretty large flag.

Based strictly on intelligence, if Keenum, Cohen, and Leach are in the same room, Cohen is a distant third. And that distance could be measured in light years.

His last game as baseball coach is a perfect example of that. It’s a Super Regional elimination game and he pulls Rooker in the middle of a two homer game for a defensive sub. The game ends up in extra innings and we don’t have our hottest hitter available because we voluntarily took him out of a game that was still in doubt.

I will not miss him. 14 years of his schtick is more than enough. I’m elated that we get to have a new AD now.

You can't blame Rooker for not having nice things to say about Cohen and the impact the IB had on his college career. John's positive impact on players he coached put lots of them in the Bigs but it no way do we have to accept sub par AD work just because he did good baseball things. Good job on Leach and Jans. I've never seen high paid executives that are successful not work their a$$es off and if they didn't get results, they were canned. They are under the gun constantly.

John was good at baseball. AD of baseball was about all of he should have been

Right, John Cohen the Coach and John Cohen the AD are two different people to me. Similar tendencies but different people.

John Cohen the Coach saved our baseball program and set the stage for our awesome run from 2016-2021 that culminated in a championship.

John Cohen the AD was not nearly as effective in my eyes.

Not that I'm a huge WBB fan but I do have a problem with an AD that gets crossways with and at least aids in running off possibly the top HC (or very close to it) we've ever had in any sport in Vic Schaefer. Lemonis got the NC but given the program he inherited I don't see that as equal to taking a program that was an afterthought on campus and making it to 2 NC games. That's one coach you would have thought Cohen would have worked overtime to keep happy.

Agreed. A cooler head would have prevailed in that situation IMO. Never in my wildest imagination would I EVAH thought I'd be freaking on Women's Hoops the way I was during Vic's days. I really miss those times. John sure didn't mind taking away nice things from us IMO. Not condoning the situation that was but I think Abuse VS Consenting Adults needs to be looked at differently.

If it happened as alleged, them getting crossways had nothing to do with Cohen. There was already a whole thread about this 2 days ago.
