Del Oro coach Jordan Whitmore said in an official statement that he had stepped down as head coach on Monday and added that he wished he had a better answer for why he was leaving the team.

Sad to see this happen - I know nothing beyond what is written in the article but I suspect there is a lot more going on than described here. Hope the Del Oro baseball program can find its way though this mess.

Feels like something happened at Del Oro in general in regards to athletics. Went from a very friendly view of sports to less friendly in the last decade.
