Gov. of Ohio had a press conference. Take it for what's it's worth, but the Dr. who the head of the Ohio Dept of Health said that all the professionals she's talking to, and the data she's getting is that COVID-19 will peak in Mid-April to May.
If she's right...then perhaps a little ray of sunshine with all the doom & gloom.

Sounds about right. In Wuhan they are sending a lot of people back to work as the worst seems to be behind them. If that is true, this will be a painful but brief disruption.

Wouldn’t count on that.
Cases growing every day and many aren’t even known because testing is unavailable. This is the growth over one week.
And this.

True. I can't go in Dec- Feb (have until March 31st 2021 to take the cruise for no penalty) because I am a payroll manager and that is our hell 3 months of the year. I'm probably going to have to eat the $1200.00 I've spent already. Oh well, that's life.

first off out of 350 million people 1200 isn't much and out of that like 30 have died. most of them from a nursing home in Washington state..... hopefully this ends soon
You do realize that every major pandemic that kills millions starts out with similar numbers before escalating? Just because we haven't seen it yet does not mean it's just going to get better.

The number is likely thousands more than the data shows because we won't test people unless they show serious symptoms. This isn't going away in the coming weeks, it's here for months.

I need it gone by Memorial day, I drive Uber in the summer, down here it's like printing your own money in the summer. It's my toy money, and I need a drone and an AR 15!

The World Health Organization

Story at a glance

While the number of coronavirus cases has surpassed 127,000, more than 68,000 people have recovered.

The World Health Organization says those who become infected generally experience mild illness and recover in about two weeks.

The virus threatens people over the age of 60 with underlying health issues.

Suppose to begin human trials for the vaccine soon.

50 million in the United States?

That would be worldwide, I'm sure. Easy to see how it happens, if a significant fraction of the world catches it and even 1% of the people who catch it die (it might be less than 1% in a country with a good healthcare system, but it's gonna be way higher than here in a country like Afghanistan or Libya or something).

Yep, 2 cruises in that timeframe, 2 hurricanes.

Some things just aren't meant to be.

WHO stated a vaccine probably won’t be available for 18 months.

'A group of Texas scientists claims to have created a vaccine to prevent the coronavirus and, according to the CEO of the Houston based engineering company, it could be approved and available to the public by the end of the year.

"We're confident in the vaccine, the quality of the vaccine completely. The end result will be what the government wants to do in terms of testing," John Price, CEO of Greffex, told "American's Newsroom," Monday.

Price said his company developed the vaccine based on the knowledge they obtained from an earlier vaccine they created to combat MERS, which "has a tremendous number of similarities" to the coronavirus, he explained.'

so over 15% of our population is going to be wiped out?? And you heard or saw this where? CNN?
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say if CNN is quoting multiple Twitter accounts (what a source of info) that 50 million are in danger of dying, even worldwide is grossly exaggerated, not many are dying, relatively speaking, while most are recovering. Most deaths are elderly with health problems and the disease doesn't seem to impact the youngest. Less than 5,000 have died worldwide while less than 150,000 cases have been reported and of that nearly 70,000 have already recovered. Compare this to common flu and the numbers aren't even close. This is scary because it is new and no one knows what to expect, panic is never the answer though, CNN's go to emotion. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
