What the hell was that? They're not allowed to get 33 yards on a 4th and 8, are they?

I thought their chances of even getting a 1st down were slim, much less 33 yards. I was pretty giddy when they lined up to go for it. What an unpleasant surprise that play was.

Whoever coaches this team next year needs to:

A. Recruit the best QB in the transfer portal like the kid is the second coming of Joe Montana. Our QB has to be the best QB in the portal because we have no QB on this roster. None.

B. Recruit someone, anyone, who can make plays. We have no speed, no quick-twitch guys, no size on the lines. If you're a defensive coordinator, who on our offense scares you?
I Def agree...

We need a game-breaker type of player, Brown has not recruited one of those yet, hes mainly pursued taller WR's & TE's, I know he pursued Brandon White in the 22 class but he committed to Kentucky.. Which was a shame, I was really hoping he would be a weapon for Nicco... There are a couple quality WR's in the portal, we'll see if we come out ahead there...

We also desperately need a quality, consistent, & versatile QB... We saw vs IowaSt if we have quality QB play how well this team would perform... Unfortunately it was a mirage, a deviation and not the norm for the rest of the season..

I just want to see a complete shift in strategy from the staff with regard to who gets live reps. Doege should not see the field for the rest of this year... NB has to do everything possible to get this team prepared to perform at a higher level next year.

Its certainly disappointing, but all we can do know is begin to prepare for next years starters...

Milum got a 2 yard run so that was fun to see.

4-6. Since Kansas is so crappo, if we can beat Texas a bowl is still a possibility. If we could win out and win a bowl we'd be 7-6 and have two straight winning seasons. It's not much, but it's something to strive for at least.

Pitiful display today. Losing too many winnable games. Not going to criticize Doege because he is just one of many problems we have. It all begins and ends with Neal Brown. Maybe we'll win out and get a bowl but unless we win ten next season, he should be gone.

Doege reminds me of Chad Johnston. That isn't a good thing since he was the worst quarterback we ever had when it came to checking down his receivers. Every once in a while Doege finds the right guy and makes a good throw, then he goes back into Chad mode.

kneel is too distracted by the imminent Rittenhouse acquittal to focus on the game. He's thinking about what stores he's gonna loot and what platitude excuse he's gonna make to the press defending his players who join in on the "protest" at Foot Locker.

Doege is not the biggest or only problem on this team. How many players on this roster do you see ever playing on Sundays?

Two? Three?

For a Big 12 program, that's sad.

That's the biggest problem. The current roster is lacking top-notch talent. The HCNB supporters love to talk about his recruiting, but he hasn't recruited anybody who is a playmaker. There are no RBs behind Brown, no dangerous or even reliable receivers, there's an obvious lack of speed and quick-twitch guys across the board, too many pedestrian and/or medicore players and the linemen can't generate a push and get overrun badly by decent opponents.

HCNB needs to upgrade his recruiting significantly. A better word would be drastically. Because what he's done so far is bring in a bunch of medicore guys who have skillsets that don't translate into winning at the Power-5 level. He's recruiting Troy-level skillsets for Big 12 football.

I see no NFL talent on this team.

It's mostly player development, but really its both, and many other things. Like get woke go broke. Neal and Shayne got woke, ran Vic out, marched down high street in support of a marxist organization, and it turned WVU into a wussy program. Neal's soft coaching approach with his 'player-led' team is a thing of beauty. He's in way over his head. Right now he's praying that his big time QB recruit saves his job over the next year or 2.

Can we stop talking about the cupboard being bare for Neal Brown. This is the 3rd season so it stands to reason that more than half are HIS recruits so it's on the head coach as the CEO. 20 possessions in a row without a TD. Who does that, other than Kansas?
