Hickory Ridge will be favored. Can the Wonders pull off the upset or at least give them a good game? Thoughts

Last year Hickory Ridge went up 36-0 before we could blink…. I don’t think we’ll see a repeat of (hopefully) that. The final was 48-14 last year.

Before watching HR last night I would have said it would take a perfect game for us to have a chance to win. I think we have a chance now but I’ll still take HR by 2 or 3 TD’s but we keep it respectable .

HR 27 - Kann 20, i dont think its a blowout for anyone, just depends on which team shows up. This will be more about who makes less mistakes

HR JV’s wins 40-20. They ran away with it in the 2nd half. The score was 13 all at half.

Let's see what kannapolis team shows up tomorrow night. They need to run the football and keep HR off the field. Chew up as much clock as possible.

Big JV game next week with Mooresville n Hickory Ridge. Mooresville JV over Cox Mill 34-14. Also big Varsity game as well.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. We’re gonna have to pass it to have a chance but at the same time we’ve got to establish the run game early!

I don’t see this game as blowout like last year but AL Brown can’t afford to fall behind like they did from last year. Maybe being a home game will help out some as well.

We have no chance if it’s like last year😂 it was 36-0, 9 minutes into the game

Don’t let the final score fool you. Kannapolis was only down 3 going to the 4th quarter, they just ran out of gas. If they play like they did tonight the rest of of the year they will be ok. HR can be beat in the conference. They are good but not great.

Until the 4th quarter HR could not run on us. They do have 2 good running backs. where they beat Kannapolis was in the second half, they started throwing the ball in the flat. We could not stop that.

When I think of running out of steam I think of a rally that fell short not a three touchdown loss. If the game was tight going into the fourth it looks like HR turned it on and made the right adjustments and plays to blow the game open. Did that not happen?

HR did make some halftime adjustments with their passing game, but Kannapolis did run out of gas in the 4th quarter, not saying they would have won the game though.

If you want to call it a rally coming up short I can live with that. Let’s be honest nobody new how good Kannapolis really was before last night. I think they answer that question. They can be pretty good.
