Appearing with Matt Lauer on "Today," Webb said she wasn't offended.
"I think the media has been really unfair to him," Webb said on NBC's morning show. "If he would have said something along the line of that we were hot or sexy or made any derogatory statements like that, I think that would have been a little bit different. The fact that he said we were beautiful and gorgeous, I don't see why any woman wouldn't be flattered by that."
ESPN apologized, saying Musburger's commentary "went too far," but Webb didn't think an apology was necessary.
"I don't think it was needed, honestly," Webb said. "Of course, I appreciate it. At the same time, I don't think I needed an apology."

Ummm I think she should be writing Musburger a thank you letter. Maybe something like this would suffice.

Deer Brett....

I can't thank you enough for all the attention you gave me on TV the other night! My twitter fan club has blown up like literally overnight!!

I mean Brett like you don't even know what it's like to have to look over at AJ at night when he has his shirt off. Ewwwwey.
I like literally have soooo had nightmares about that **** stain on his chest, but finally my hard work has paid off.
My mom always said "Now Fancy, you be nice to the gentlemen and they'll be nice to you" and she was RIGHT!

XOXO

I laughed when he made the comments.

Not because I thought he was being derogatory though. I was just picturing what he might have looked like when he was talking about how good looking she is. You know how old men get around pretty young girls. He didn't say anything offensive and didn't cross the line between flattery and vulgarity. It's not like he said he wanted to drink her bathwater or anything.

If anybody should be questioned, it's the production crew. If you are going to put Miss Alabama or whatever she is on the camera, do you honestly not expect somebody to comment on her beauty? If they don't want comments about her appearance, don't put her on camera - simple as that. What else was he supposed to say? "Well there's AJ McCarron's wife - she's doing a damn fine job watching this game"?

Deer Brent!

Silly me I guess I intentionally misspelled your name and the salutation Dear to sound like an unintelligent beauty queen.

calling a young woman hot or sexy was derogatory. Definitely inappropriate for a football broadcaster to do that from the broadcast booth, but in no way derogatory.

I've heard people say that Musburger just said what every man was thinking. That's not true. I was not thinking, "She's beautiful." I was thinking, "I'd suck a fart out of her *** and hold it like a bong hit if she'd 17 me."

I think Musburger handled himself as well as he could.

An unintelligent beauty queen who, might I add, grossly misuses the term "Literally" in her letter.
