I'm going to be supportive of Pope getting another year. In his situation he needs a third year. But, I will be far more critical of these slow starts next season if they continue. He needs to do some serious self-reflection and analysis of his staff.
Must be nice to have a PG, to have group that plays unselfish team ball, and to have a coach that coaches a full game.

Because our first 10 possessions are guys going iso to see if they can score. We gett down and start attacking and passing in the 2nd half and get better shots. If that’s not the case then something needs to change with our pregame warmups because we hit stretches where we shoot well. It’s there, but coach isn’t getting it out.
I don’t understand why our team is never ready to play. I don’t understand why we refuse to guard. I don’t understand why we will not run an offense. I don’t understand why we have no fight about us. So frustrating
REALLY missing Kam this game. Jelavic and Mo are too slow to matchup/switch with these guys but not big enough to punish them inside.

Absolutely! This team needs a coach who overtly leads. This is NOT analytical Pope. This team needs someone to crack some skulls, bust their asses and call them out. Think Pitino would have put up with this team body language, effort and lack of team communication? Nope. Even Cow would have busted *** on the bench like Randle in live game situation.
It is not just Chandler. Every one of our players are getting smoked on defense. Offense is talent, defense is desire. We have no desire tonight. I know we have some kids on the bench that would give 100% effort on defense. Pope does not have the gonads to sit his starters on the end of the bench. Weak, soft, scared coach. My middle school coach would chew Pope up and spit his soft *** out.

When you didn’t deserve the job to begin with…and you don’t have the equity of a good career up to this point…at UK, maybe it should.
I'm not even talking about the level of talent or who's coming back. I'm talking about the level of effort. 1-star players can do a better job at the basics than what we're seeing tonight. I'm talking about fight. Pope is obviously flustered at what's happening tonight, but he's not channeling it properly.

I don’t know man. I know we aren’t winning it this year, or next, but I expect to be able to compete. It’s like if we play a team with a number beside their name we just freeze up. TN being the exception. We don’t have to win them all but we should at least be competitive in them.

We all want to support him. We all expect positive results, too. But honestly, what did he show in his pre-UK coaching career to show he belonged here as UK’s coach?
The offense is just atrocious and has been. They need a kickstart to get going. Usually that kickstart is when the other team dials back the intensity with a huge lead
