After watching OM this year, and seeing our strengths and weakness we must do 3 things to beat OM:

1. Tackle, Tackle, Tackle. OM has some squirmy dudes and we must tackle as well if not better than we have all year

2. Pass protection, OM can get some pressure on the QB. If we can stop their pass rush, Tyler will shred them.

3. Line-up correctly and know assignments. No doubt Freeze will throw the kitchen sink at us next week, and OM already runs an offense that can be confusing. We must lineup correctly and not let OM get freebies. To start with, Mr. Banks, you should line up on Moncreif. Spelled M-O-N-C-R-E-I-F. Don't leave him

If we do these things on a semi consistent basis, then we will win the game. Pretty simple.

Get ready to see some zone... but I hope it's not too soft. The key will be not letting them get yards after the catch, and MABYE force Wallace to throw a few interceptions. The Key will be corralling Moncrief. He single-handedly makes their receiving corps that much better. Take him away, you take away the majority of their offense.

My 2 simple keys to winning the Egg Bowl...

(1) The defense is going to have to step up bigtime & make some plays. If OM gets rolling on offense, they go into hurry up mode & we will not be able to substitute. (2) Offense has to keep drives alive & burn clock. Word to Mullen: If the running game is working, don't abandon it for the pass. If the pass game is clicking, don't suddenly start running up the middle. Got to keep their Archie Cooley offense off the field.

Offensively the key is mixing in no huddle alot. LSU started getting back in the game by going hurry up. They are down scholly players you must expose that facet on their defense. Gross is better than i had expected but you can tell his conditioning is poor as well as Pena. They will come out on FIRE! Whether the storm and continue to grind it out. They will tire in the 4th as they did tonight. Tired players make mental mistakes. The late hit from Nkemdicie killed them tonight. He is a smart player but he was gassed. So offensively we need to run a few uptempo drives late. Another thing we need to do is BE BALANCED! We are far better at passing the ball than LSU but they're better at the run. We must mix it up as we have so far all year. Tyler throwing the ball 35+ times is NOT good. No more than 25-30 pass attempts.

Defensively we need to go back to our prowler/predator packages. I know some of you aren't going to like this but against an offense like this give me an extra backer Vs extra DLmen. Maybe a 3-3-5. They are going to spread you out it's best to TRY and match their speed (although i think they're faster on O vs. our D). You take away the zone read looks by playing assignment football. They're going to try and zone block maintain gap integrity and we'll be okay. For those that are going to argue with me about instead using a 4 down linemen set. Arky was picking on Benadrick all day! That's one reason he had so many tackles. They were making him make quick decisive decisions and early on it hurt our defense. When we went prowler it helped him alot as now there are 2 inside backers instead of one. Plus when Josh started playing his *** off it allowed Coach Wilson more flexibility with his sets (remember execution was what was hurting us). When they run the zone read the LBs have GOT to stay with their assignments! And the last thing: if Logan (85) lines up in a trips formation you have GOT to be physical with him at the line of scrimmage. Most of his routes are seams, stutter go's and stops (all timing routes). Wallace has a lot of faith in him. So in turn this game is pretty simple to figure out. If our LBs play well & we can take away the "dive" with our DL we should be fine defensively.
