Is directly related to Richt doing whatever is necessary to take the heat off his *** next season.Edit to say - and they are going to possibly double his salary.
It's obvious that y'all have success envy kinda like the people who complain about the wealthy tax payers without realizing the benefits of high achievement which are enjoyed by all. Also, I'm fascinated that the State fan base thinks that "more cowbell" sets forth a positive image for your school. I'm open to being enlightened about the benefits of the cowbell tradition.
You do realize that your fan base is largely comprised of people whose biggest contribution to anything at the University (football, academics, etc.) is the nickel royalty fee Alabama receives when Bubba and Tammy buy their annual crimson tide t-shirt and/or coozie from WalMart. So, if we are going to be analogous to tax payment / benefits we might as well be honest about your fan base. Easily the most annoying thing about Alabama is the masses of sidewalk rednecks that likely couldn't even name a building on campus other than Bryant Denny. I can't think of any other college athletic program where the average fan has such little connection/contribution to the University, yet expects so much out of it every year. It's obvious that y'all have success envy kinda like the people who complain about the wealthy tax payers without realizing the benefits of high achievement which are enjoyed by all.

That's a pretty long way away for Alabama fans to have to travel for home gamesCrimson said:We've been playing in the Rose Bowl since 1925.
and from your earlier post:I still don't have an answer to the cowbell question. It seems as though I hit too close to some maroon homes with the success envy comment.
What's negative about it? It's a tradition. Nothing more. Nothing less. They are loud and obnoxious too all except those who cheer for the maroon and white. We ring them when good things happen. Did I miss the memo on the importance of college athletics traditions and their required benefit to society? We have cowbells. You have ramblings about yellow hammers, a dancing elephant on the sideline, and an infatuation with hounds-tooth.Also, I'm fascinated that the State fan base thinks that "more cowbell" sets forth a positive image for your school. Would you say that your education is representative of the majority of your fan base?Crimson said:Adam, B.A. (Political Science) in May '75; J.D. in August '78.
