It always seems like some NFL coach can take players from our D and make them into rock stars. KJ, Love, and McPhee are all playing the best football of their careers.
I like KJ and I think he was great when he was here, but I thought they reached in the 4th round and that he wasn't our top LB that year. Imagine if we had given him an opportunity to do what he's doing now in college...

most NFL contributors are "playing the best football of their careers". it happens when you have the best coaching in the world and training/preparing for a football game is your job 24/7.
What's wrong with that? Do you want him to fail in the NFL or something? I didn't go to college to do the best work I could do in college while I was paying money to be there... I went to college to prepare to do my best work in a professional environment where I could contribute and make a good living for me and my family. Same with college players going to the NFL.
There is a reason those coaches in the NFL are paid so much more and it is because they are that much better... coaching is better, defenses are better, competition is higher, and the system for players to succeed is better. KJ is one of the better LBs to ever come through MSU, and I'm happy to see a classy guy like him succeed the way he is at the next level.

Having two years of additional coaching anywhere. Anyone think he wouldn't have kept improving with two additional years at State too?
