Maybe they are let go because they are overpaid for their reduced responsibilities. Sometimes people don't like the job, but they like the paycheck. Like TD said, it's important to retain people who have time in the system. Its less hassle to reassign them than (to hire and) to train someone new. They just need to be put in a position to succeed.than the real world, but in my line of work, you either perform to your job responsibilities or you're let go. Demotions just don't happen because rarely does anything good come from it. Justified or not, it creates resentment, awkwardness, and rarely anything positive.
Ok, lets discuss, the recruiting coord position so many of you seem to think exists....That guy actually doesn't recruit....He's the guy that schedules hotel rooms, weekend visit schedules, etc. and has very little, if any, contact with recruits. I think Rocky Felker currently holds this position. So, please, make sure you understand a title/job responsibilites before you want to give it to a guy.....
