RU5781 of course you will from row 29 in sec. 126 ...you are like so many tough talking Rivals board boys...You don't have the balls to tell him to his face...say 3 feet apart....and actually get his response....and as I said ...Flood would handle you like the cheap shirt you are.

Oh, I'll say it as close as I can get. I'll be out for warm ups. He'll hear every word I say and he'll know it's coming directly from me.
What's he going to do, attack me? I hope he does. He'd be fired immediately.

'Tough talking Rivals board boys'...that's funny. If I state the obvious and say Flood should be fired and we need to head in a different direction, does that constitute 'tough talk'? And why on earth should I have to say it to his face...what would that accomplish other than admonishment from the Floodites on this board for disrespecting the man 'to his face' if I actually did what was previously suggested and confronted him during the radio show broadcast? I have yet to hear a logical answer but please enlighten me.

There's plenty of people who would say it to his face if they had a chance...believe me, I'm very well versed in hearing people say unflattering things to players and coaches.
He doesn't want to hear it anymore than I did, my dad did, or any other player did.
Are you saying you've watched sports your whole life and never bad mouthed a player or coach, and if you did, did you say it to his face?

I never had the reason to tell a coach that he sucked....and believe me Zap I grew up in an era when players weren't coddled...I may have disagreed with decisions and players in certain positions but as a former player in football , baseball, basketball wrestling that was not the norm.... but for you who played at Montclair in the years after me I 'd bet your late father never got in the coaches face when something was not what he thought was right.. I doubt it especially with guys like Clary Anderson or Butch Fortunato in charge...listen Dale...I'm not happy about the issues and directions in which we're headed but to lower myself or yourself to telling him he sucks is plain stupidity...use the power of $$$$ ....I'm sure you've got it...I do and I will use that...I already told the school back after week 2....NO MORE DONATIONS if Flood is here...now that is contrary to what some have accused me off...being a Flood backer....I'm a Rutgers backer that's it...because I defended him the past two months is only because the situation of firing will take care of itself...How did you feel when your dad was second guessed , perhaps ridiculed for a move etc....and for you....a former pro is sad...you of all ....like me now should refrain from this childish crap.

Ok, this makes sense to me. I don't advocate what RU5871 is planning to do but I don't get why people seem to think one has to articulate criticism or calls for Flood's ouster 'to his face'.

Which is exactly why nobody should say it to his face, because it's disrespectful to do so. If I met KF at a function tomorrow I would tell him I'm a huge Rutgers fan and good luck the rest of the season, I would never lower myself to tell him I didn't think he was a good coach.
I think the premise of "say it to his face" is ridiculous.
Clary and Butch were both legendary and won so they never had to endure criticism, that's the world of sports.
I respect your position on donations, some here will criticize you for that. Don't forget you also lived thru "good by Allie" and "Joe must go"…coaches are expected to win, or in this case, your team has to show improvement and hope for the future. I know it's not professional, so that's why players should be off limits, but highly paid coaches are fair game.

I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

You think they're screened now? When GS took over there were a new group of callers (no more Skip from Elizabeth, or John from South Brunswick, but people I never heard of......Thomas from Long Island..."hey coach, say when would you consider running an end around play at the start of the game, as compared to staying in between the tackles?"...."woa, good question Thomas, and thanks for calling in.....well, based on....blah...blah...blah...next caller, Big Jim from upstate New York....."hey coach, when you guys go on the road, what is your typical routine day before the game?"..........

Wow, I forgot all about those guys, John from SB and Skip from Elizabeth. They were regulars to WCTC sports talk show and Skip was ALWAYS the first guy to call in to WRSU after the games. Are either of them on this board? Loved Skips voice and John had to be the most negative person in the world. Granted we sucked back then but if anyone ever looked at the glass half empty it was him.

What about "Mike from West Orange" who eventually became "Mike from Las Vegas" if I'm not mistaken?

I always find posts like this interesting. You essentially question someone's manhood by stating that they are merely talking behind a keyboard. At the same time, you are merely talking behind a keyboard. Once again, interesting...

I can't stop laughing at some of the posts in this thread (oddly all typed by the same person...lol).
