That's great but 4 or 5 out offense doesn't exactly work when you have bricklayers on the floor. Now we have two presumable starters who are indeed that
Another Senior. I get that we need to build a team, but we might end up half full with a roster that is "1 and done" but this time due to eligibility. Oh well, is what it is until they can focus on the '25 and '26 recruiting cycles.

Butler is a good PG, and Kentucky could do way worse. Now it’s important they get 2 scorers at 2 and 3 spot around him but butler isn’t some bum, he won DPOY and isn’t dogshit offensively either

100% agree. If it requires the entire staff flying to Vegas for this kind of player, we are in a significant amount of trouble.
Obvious Pope is gearing more defense, he will not play the same way he did at BYU.
I think a lot of fans are still in the "I want nothing but stars" mindset. I'm not blown away with his shooting, especially from the line as a PG, but defense and experience are commodities that UK fans haven't seen in years.

-Led SDSU in assists 2023, 2nd in 2024
-Has been in 11 NCAA Tournament games, with 7 wins
-He's not a freshman
-If he's coming off the bench, this is not a bad pick up

If they can find a clear cut better option they yeah go do it, but butler isn’t a bad player. Everybody was upset about not getting players, pope went and got a player duke and other schools wanted

I love him as a bench piece. He's not starter material at UK. He can't shoot.
Gotta be able to score though. A 30% 3pt shooter doesn’t sound too good in this offense.
It will be nice to have a strong defensive team again. I got sick watching the NBA All-Star game type defense we have had lately. We couldn't guard an old lady with a walker last year.
