If Bryce Alford remains doggedly determined to keep up his ppg, Huskers still have a chance.

NU needed to play a smarter first half, but still a solid effort in this one.

Nebraska is going to lose this game, but they haven't embarrassed themselves at all. They have shown they can hang with a good team.

Despite the loss, I thought NU played reasonably well against one of the better teams in the country. The game was closer than the final score indicated. After the Iowa debacle earlier today, it was nice to see a Husker team answer the bell.

Went into this game thinking I'd be happy if the loss was 16 or less (outscored by 8 per half). Never happy to lose, but they played well. No complaining. This will serve them well down the road. Now get the win tomorrow.

Needed Watson to start jacking long 3s a little earlier. Once we got to desperation time he was letting them fly and was on fire.

Watson, Tai, and Morrow came to play. Tshimanga showed some good things inside. But McVeigh and Gill picked a bad night to go cold - combined 1 for 18 from the field. We need Roby to develop quickly.

I don't think we looked hard enough at Morrow when they went zone. I saw numerous opportunities where he had position and there was a passing angle. Also surprised at Roby's limited minutes in the 2nd half when he got more than normal in the first half. Glad to hear Asst. Coach Mull. after the game say they have to get Roby and Horne going. Overall you have to be REALLY encouraged given everyone is 1st or 2nd year except for Webster. This team will improve a lot over the year. Roby will get going soon and that will be a big help. Our biggest weakness are the backup guards. Webster and Watson got few if any breaks. Hopefully Gill becomes more consistent shooting the ball, Taylor is just a liability at the moment.

Hopefully the losses are limited so you don't have to point out what would have got them a 40-0 year.
GBR!
Well, we both know the losses won't be limited and by midseason you will be bringing up Miles hairdresser like normal.
