Yeah PJ will go between 8-12 or so Herro between 10-18 and KJ between 15-25 . Pretty good. You should leave when you are a 1st round lock like those 3 are . You shouldn't leave when you are a mid 2nd rounder like PJ was last season.

Also anyone who drafts Reddish before PJ is a complete and utter moron. Kid can do 1 thing - shoot .

A ton of SEC kids in those 2 rounds. Pretty impressive for a football conference. UK, UT, Ark, Ole Miss, Missouri, Georgia, Miss. St., and even Vandy. None this year from FL nor Texas A&M, which have done well in the last 5 years or so.

Reddish is the kind of player that will get a GM fired or look like a genius. Drafting Ingram and Lonzo for the Lakers was a disaster, Kuzma coming through is the only saving grace for the Lakers in the last several drafts.

In that one thing, shooting, PJ is better at it right now. Although, if you look defensively, Reddish is the better player.

Excellent take. Reddish should've bailed when Zion joined the class. He had to alter his game and sacrifice the most. Cal's the best coach in country at finding ways to make FR better when uncomfortable. Very high success rate, look at the comments from Keldon Johnson's father as prime example. You learn to play together and impact the game when you aren't scoring. Reddish didn't change from when we all saw him on the team Cal coached in Egypt. Thought he looked less aggressive and resorted to doing what Cal forces players not to do-be a jump shooter. Worked for Knox to get him in Lottery, and about to work for Herro.

Reddish can handle the ball pretty well too. He's much more of a wing than PJ is.

I think teams are really missing on Jordan Bone. Think he is a late first round talent and will be a starter in a year or two.

Don't understand his low prospect ranking. He has size, speed, and can shoot the ball at a key basketball position.
I don't understand the deal with Bone either, he literally tested off the charts at the combine and seems like a very good shooter. Don't know what is missing.

I'm glad for Keldon but see the post about Reddish above, somebody may lose their job for drafting him in the lottery.

Taking my tinted glasses off, I'd have to disagree. I think Reddish is going to be better in the long term. Kid has the body to be great at that level. We will see. PJ just seems to be in the T Jones mold to me. I actually think T Jones was better going into the draft. Time will tell.

lol has anyone even seen Garland play? Someone explain him and Jaxon Hayes to me. If I was the Lakers I would much rather have Culver at 4

Thanks but think it's result of everyone here enjoying talking basketball. We all love the sport and just like talking all aspects. Doesn't make anyone right/wrong or smarter then others, and hopefully it doesn't come off that way, just like talking the sport.

He may have the body but he lacks the heart. He disappears during games and there is barely a stat where he is better than PJ. I think Reddish will be out of the league in less than 5 years.

PJ is so damn perfect for the NBA. 10 years ago he would not be as sought after but hes the poster child for what the NBA wants and hes proven he's ready. They love that 6'8 long armed powerful forward who can do a bit of everything ala Draymond Green. He doesnt have the ball and passing skills yet but on the right team, we could really see PJ flourish.

I knew people would want Herro. He could have legit t rex arms and no one would care. Legit 6'6 with textbook form, above average athleticism and the charisma of an entire basketball community in one body. Hes going to be a fan favorite wherever he goes.

Johnson has the lowest ceiling of all 3 and wouldve been a beast as a sophomore and probably improved his stock ala Washington but I understand why he left.

Well he’s what? 19? And had to play on a team with 2 other superstars ?

“Lacks heart?” How exactly do you decipher how much heart a random player you’ve probably seen play a small handful of times ? As a freshman?

Edit-> I abhor Duke just as much as the next guy but this is just kind of silly.

Johnson actually had the highest pro potential of all three as an incoming freshman. There is a reason why he was ranked higher than PJ or Herro as a high schooler. NBA teams have had their eyes on him for a couple of years now. He did nothing at UK to deter them from their high opinion of him. He has size, is a good defender and excellent rebounder, and a good shooter. Shooting guards are not usually going to be lottery picks, but plenty of them get picked in the first round and have good careers. And remember he did play the 3 position most of the season, after Herro emerged. He will play the 2 in the NBA.

Herro going to Celts

I hope so!!! They need him and he is perfect for Boston. They need another shooting guard very badly. He killed it in his workout there and stood out among a gaggle of guards they invited.

He is known for not having a motor, I equate that to heart. Judge it as you will.

Agreed, and I even tried to engage @BigBlueFanGA as I was genuinely curious (plus I usually like his posts) but he didn’t provide any specifics whatsoever or examples or anything really other than saying an arbitrary “he’s known for not having a motor.” Lol...

THAT is the problem. Many of these “freshman” issuses will not get fixed at the NBA. Even when it’s 24/7, your job.
Most players would better long term players in the NBA with more time in college.
But the nba is run as a “business now” type of company.

I could do more but it was a known issue of his coming out of high school. It really hasn't changed. On top of that, he's a terrible 3 shooter.

I didn't give specifics originally because I thought this flaw in Reddish was pretty widely known.
