I am enjoying it BUT I won’t “stop” because we could be up 5 - EASILY - right now IF NOT for the same issues that cost us about four losses already this year including to teams like Army and Lehigh.
It’s a shame, that’s all ...
And if they hadn't hit 6 posts they'd be up by 6. And PSU fans are probably saying if they played better close D they'd be up by 5.
The pass Mullins tried to make was one of those impossible passes into the crease with two guys on our man. It's head scratching why Mullins didn't go to Adam there, who had the size on his defender just outside the crease. How did Mullins not pass that to AC immediately. This has to be the most frustrating team to follow. Year after year after year.
Great coaching today. Christiano back next will make a huge difference. Let’s hope he gets healthy. They feasted on our shorties all game.
Bullett did a great job on Ament. Super impressive.
I love what we are doing with Ament.
No one has been able to handle him all season.
Hey Cali, I’m a former RU wrestler here and I deal with this negative bs from posters all the time. They talk about bad attitudes and lack of effort (completely subjective/poorly informed takes) from our wrestlers when they don’t win. It makes me so angry because it is not constructive criticism but rather just bitching and whining. There is a big tournament today and some kids didn’t do that well so out come the keyboard warriors making personal attacks. I can literally break down every wrestlers performance and make suggestions for improvement without questioning their character. I don’t know them well enough to even make a character assessment (which I would never do publicly anyway). I do know that several of our wrestlers spent many hours out of season preparing for this tournament and traveled across the country to compete in an effort to keep getting better. More wins would be nice but these people need to get a grip and look at themselves before they start bashing others.

We could lose 12 straight times to Lehigh (in the same season) and you’re not gonna put the coaching staff down lol...
RU has more "keyboard Coaches" who love to ***** & moan constantly, then any other team in the nation, bunch of self loathing losers, who think they know what they are talking about & never played a competitive sport in their lives

You’d likely be wrong about that most of the time. Sometimes it’s those NOT SO CLOSE to the program who are just willing to point out the glaringly obvious issues.
A couple games? **** happens. An entire season of the same things happening over and over again? It’s a problem. There are also some GREAT things to talk about which is why it makes it so much harder to take losses THAT COULD EASILY have been wins (regardless of opponent). WE HAVE TOP 10 TALENT, period, so it’s head-shaking to see the same things continue to happen when there’s no need.
Oh yeah My friends who played college lacrosse, one of whom was a multiple all-American, see the same things that some of us here see.
I want this team to succeed...I want Brecht to succeed...so far? We still haven’t made the NCAA’s and, like it or not, that’s a problem.
Who said anything about attitude or effort? Certainly not me.
I am going to call you out. Let's talk about what happened that is making you say the coaching was bad today. We are going deep, so get ready. List your top 5 things. Be detailed. Go.
Go look at the wrestling thread. It’s ridiculous.
1) down 3-0 to open (a problem that has plagued us all season long) (-3)
2) give up goal with :01 on clock to end the half (-4)
3) give up 1st 2 goals of 2nd half (-6)
4) give up back-to-back goals for the PSU lead
5) awful final possession w/ball
...we played PHENOMENAL lacrosse otherwise. So why is - almost every game with maybe 3 exceptions this season - we have issues starting and closing games/halves???
I mean come on brother, we’ve been discussing this all season, it’s nothing new.
We could lose 12 straight times to Lehigh (in the same season) and you’re not gonna put the coaching staff down lol...
And they could lose to the #1 team in the country, more talented than RU, by 1 goal and you'd trash the coaches.
Since it’s never the coaching staffs’ fault let them sit in the stands and watch. The captains can do the substitutions.
1) Nope. Outside of Hopkins, name one other game where we were down 3-0 or more.
2) Let's talk about that goal. You are generalizing. Gave up goal, bad coaching. Why was that bad coaching? What what you, as head coach or DC, done differently? I want strategy and personell details. Like I said, we are going deep.
3) Not true. We scored the first goal of the second half.
4) Wow, we gave up back to back goals. That's a sign of bad coaching, lol? Every coach in America sucks. What would you have done to not let that happen. Again, details. Strategy and personnel details. You're now the head coach.
5) Sort of agree, Kieren could have made a better decision. What is your play with 9 seconds left to get off a quality shot?
So two of your points aren't even true. Let's get into the others. Again, let's go deep.
1) I’ll go through them again
2) HUGE goal and not the only time this season. It’s a problem.
3) meant 2nd period my bad.
4/5) nonetheless THEY made the plats at game’s end to win, we didn’t, how can you defend that?
Again...ALL I’m saying is that this team, all season long, has tended to put itself in bad positions due to slow starts and finishes. That’s all. That’s something that can be, and needs to be, work out in the off-season. A few more “W’s,” and NCAA bid, could easily have been had this year (again). It’s just a shame because the talent is there and has been, the last 3-4 years, to be on the NCAA’s (notwithstanding the 2 years we got screwed).
