On my way to West Point today to watch my Granddaughter play basketball and I meet this car on the Tombigbee river two lane bridge on highway 50 who I assume was playing on this phone. They drifted across the center line and were 50 percent in my lane. I hit the horn and the brakes and tried to make it between the oncoming car and the side railing on the bridge. It was very close on both sides but didn’t hit anything and didn’t wind up in the river. The oncoming car never made any effort to correct their position on the road and I’m not sure they were ever aware of the situation. Or didn’t care. I’ve seen a lot of stupid driving in the last few days and it’s not going to get better until the holIdays are over. Thankful that I didn’t get killed today! Everyone keep your head on a swivel and stay safe.
Dang, that was a close call. I still shudder when I think of driving on Hwy 11 near Eutaw, Alabama before 20/59 opened - very long narrow 2 lane bridge with a big sweeping curve. Meeting an 18-wheeler was fun - seemed like about a foot clearance on each side. Back in the day, you'd frequently see signs that had "Narrow Bridge" on them. Never figured out why the bridge was narrower than the roadway.

There's so much horn honking overseas because
it's a vital communication tool in chaotic traffic, used for warnings, greetings, asserting presence, and even expressing emotion, unlike in many Western places where it often means anger; cultural norms, less strict road rules, dense traffic, and a lack of clear lanes make constant honking essential for navigating and signaling in places like India, Southeast Asia, and parts of Latin America.

He’ll, we passed a law against it. But I gotta tell ya, the people at red lights that take 10 seconds to go because they are on that damn phone are more infuriating to me
Don't know if Lane was ever on the left side and don't care. OTOH it's possible that he was on the phone with the coonass unbeknownst to those who invested in him to lead the crowd to the promised land. They were scorned when he was not a good caretaker of the money that he used to buy where they are now. To add insult to injury, after being banned he sent his cronies up there to help him get the bonus they contracted him with and then lsu say you'll get it anyway if they win the whole damn thing.

I am. And still holding on. I'm thinking about hiring a lawn service next year though, if I can find someone to do it to may specs.

RocketCityDog is even older. But I haven't seen him post lately.

I met him back in the old days when I lived in Huntsvegas. He and I sat with Croom. Hope he’s doing well but yeah haven’t seen him post in a long time.

If Arkansas requires that, they don't enforce it.
They don’t have many 6 lane sections of interstate. Drove from Memphis to Orlando several years ago and from Atlanta to Orlando was all 6-8 lanes with no trucks in the left lane. I never took the cruise off.

Good lord where are these states? Nothing like getting behind 2 trucks doing 67 & 66 side by side in the open interstate while one performs a 3-mile pass of the other one.
Are you talking bout 1-40 from Memphis to Little Rock?
