Defense good, offense solid, up-tempo style is definitely working well. KSU struggled, foul shooting really bad. Fisher was much better. AJSM good as he usually is. Would KSU be equal to an average Big East team?

Great job by Sha putting this team together. Brought in lots of juniors and seniors and it shows. Throw in a Hines who is a special Freshman, and a real point guard in Clark. Super fun to watch, reminds me of the final 8 Saint Peters team. Lots of depth, athletic, attack the glass, tons of synergy with the players. Thought I was done as a fan but bought a bunch of games. This team is going to win a lot of games.

It’s really incredible.

This team has composure and leadership. They play calm under pressure—even when they don’t get calls going their way.

The free throw shooting will also make them tough to beat when they’re leading at the end of games.

I feel like I’m watching a group of guys that have played together for 3 or so years. It’s impressive what Sha has put together.

They're legit because defense always travels.

They did not play well on offense but their D carried the day. You can be off shooting, but you should never play bad D if you have the players and they most certainly do.

None of their offensive threats ever had the chance to get going. Abdi Bashir came into the Pru last year and lit SHU up. Didn’t happen this time.

PJ Haggerty looked like one of those NBA players in Space Jam after the aliens invade their bodies and take their talent. Hard to believe a second-team all American and the nation’s leading scorer was rendered a complete non-factor.

Awesome observation, it's fun again!

This game could easily have gone the other way if KSU hit from the line. Positive takeaway is we did enough to win on a night we didn’t play our best.

How many times can you say that…
1. Your leading scorer goes 3-15 from the floor.
2. You shoot below 40% from the floor
3. Go 5-23 from three
4. Have your opponent attempt 13 more FTs
5. Get out rebounded by 3
6. Have both your big in foul trouble

And still come away with a double digit victory on the road in front of a sold out crowd vs a P4 school, in which you were in control for much of the game.

The fact that they absolutely eliminated PJ Haggerty from having any impact on this game is a testament to Sha, his staff, and the players for executing their game plan. They forced the ball out of his hands off the pick and roll and KSU had no answer for it all game. The rest of our team stayed connected, rotated well, and closed out on their shooters.

So impressive that Sha did this. Honestly can’t believe it.
It takes something major to go wrong for people to change. Last year's debacle was really tough on Sha but he used it as fuel. He's made positive changes as a coach. The uptempo offense and opportunistic defense have become our identity and have shown up for every game.

Did you see them run the ball up after KState made a foul shot? They quickly inbounded, Clark sprinted up the court putting the defense on it's heels and found a hustling Hines for a dunk. What a difference from past seasons.

Something was off with Haggerty. He’s a major talent. Could it be he’s “soft,” and we got in his head?

We play physical. We threw many different combinations at him. We targeted him. It completely knocked him off his game.

The point LCP made about being "connected" is the story of our season so far. What a job by Sha to date, wow. 👏

It is a great turn around for Seton Hall. But let’s face facts. K State was awful. I mean putrid. Yes. Seton Hall’s D was part of it. But they missed several wide open threes and shot an abysmal 43% from the line (15-35).
They shoot 70% from the line and this is an entirely different game. This is how Seton Hall lost to USC. Too many fouls and I guess part of that is the aggressive defense and some of it is poor positioning and reaching.

IDK if I've ever heard of team missing 20 foul shots. That's insane.

In the postgame Sha was shocked they took 35 FTA. Very similar to USC game in that way with the bigs, but KSt was also awful in the post against us and we missed a ton of open shots too.

I was not impressed with Kansas State at all. The players body language was awful. Every missed free throw and three they hung their head. It was honestly embarrassing for them and their fans, and I don’t feel bad at all. Won’t be long until that locker room implodes if it already hasn’t.

Hall had a lot to do with that. Let's give our pirates some credit.
We punched them in the face early and they. Never got back up..
Same game plan we had in maui.

Kansas State actually reminded me of us last year, only with way more talent and zero excuses for such poor play.

While the free throw attempts were lopsided, the foul calls weren’t. SHU was hit for 22 fouls and KSU 21.

Hopefully fans show up for the Rutgers game to support this squad. The hole that last year put this team into from a perception and support standpoint is palpable. A lot of damage done. It won’t be a snap of the fingers to fix, but need to make a big jump this weekend

When you play against a physical smothering defense that hounds you all over the court you tend to miss shots that you don't usually miss in other games. You get frustrated and then tend to press. That had a lot to do with KSU missing shots, even when they were quality shots.

As for the foul line, yes that was an anomaly, but again playing from behind all game does make the shots more difficult. Not 20 misses difficult, but definitely more difficult.

If 9-1 doesn't do it. And our next door rival, Rutgers doesn't do it, the students should be ashamed. I say that because I believe the rest of the lower deck will be filled.
