That seems a little excessive. Seems like there are good and bad officers everywhere. But I’m curious what the suspect may have done leading up to this.
If he had murdered someone before this video would the police officers reaction be ok?
If he had assaulted someone before this video would the police officers reaction be ok?
If he had stolen something before this video would the police officers reaction be ok?
It looks bad but I also don’t know the situation.

He had recently gotten full custody of his 2 year old. A judge had ordered the cop to help enforce that.

The cop said he wouldn't back up when told so that was his response. He knocked him out with the first punch (he had the mace in his fist). Then they got him no medical care as he was clearly knocked out cold, didn't follow protocol for someone knocked out (trying to sit him up rather than in the recovery position).

It looks bad because it is bad.

So the guy got full custody and the police were there to make sure everything went fine and the cop knocked out the guy he was supposed to be helping?
sounds like this guy will be receiving a nice pay check to help raise his child with.

Anyone want to bet there is more the the story than the 2 seconds prior to him striking him?

Im going to let you in on a little secret, if there wasnt more to the story the lady who said "that wasnt necessary" would have been losing her mind.

There is more to the story, and unfortunately it makes the cop look worse.

Sometimes cops, like some people in literally ever profession, are just wrong or bad people etc. Unfortunately, cops have a lot of power and use instruments and violence as a matter of course (meaning a lot of it is actually justified), and so the consequences of a bad apple are much more severe.

The guy had his hands in the air and that fat pvssy pepper sprayed him and then sucker punched him. That cop needs to be put in jail and banned from serving in any LEO capacity.

Fiscal conservatives should really pay attention to how many billions of dollars are wasted each year settling lawsuits against dirty cops. This guy is not fit to wear the uniform.

This officer does look like a bi.tch. But I also know I’d never want to be an officer.
I’m guessing at some point someone in this country murdered someone or threatened an officer, then when an officer came, threw his/her hands up like they were innocent.

Well, that is why we have laws in this country. Cops aren’t entitled to break those laws just because another one has a bad experience. That is equivalent to saying that because cops have beaten innocent people, that everyone is justified in running away from a cop.

Wouldn’t it be so much easier if we just didn’t have criminals. But we do, and people love to defend them. Doesn’t matter what their job title is.

Wouldn’t it be easier if we didn’t have cancer or war as well?
Agree. But cancer is just a tad bit different than criminals. Ones just pos people and other people that continue to allow them to be POS people. The other is something humans can’t completely control.
