I don't think we would have beat South Point without Sage's 20 tackles on defense, and who knows about EL if he was there or somewhere different. But I think all the other games would have been same result. But it doesn't matter, because he's a Wolf. And he'd be the first to tell you he isn't the only great player on this team.

East Duplin or Northside ( both ranked teams all season) may have something to say about that

I know you like your conference and regional teams, but for the past few years in 2A and 2AA the east hasn't been able to stay within 2 tds of anybody in the west UNLESS Reidsville or High Point Andrews(down this year) were donated to the east region due to ADM and brackets. I expect more of the same this season.

To me Lincolnton and Reidsville could win the 2AA east. This is not to say NS Jax or ED is bad, but the West region is a few notches better overall top to bottom in recent years in both divisions..

Lincolnton won last year 36-6///that's 30 pt margin not 40///in 2013 Reidsville won 13-10..........so that's actually 46-19 L town way in those 2 games....not that any of that matters....this years team is this years team for both squads///and both are great//////So there!!

A reasonable statement, with which I tend to agree. I haven't seen the Rams play this year, so I will reserve the right to disagree. If you are as good as your king states, we are in a lotta trouble.

Yeah I thought the posts would be a little more respectful between these two programs. I think ramking ruined that from the start. I'll say without having seen any highlights or film on Reidsville, I think they'll be the best team we've played this year. But I think if we play our game and don't turn the ball over we'll have a good shot at winning.

Ok enough trash talk...here is my honest assessment....The wolves are easily the best team Reidsville has faced since they whooped us last year..we are much improved from last year but honestly their passing attack worries the crap out of me ..we must stick with running game to minimize their possessions...the crowd the wolves bring probably be larger then the home crowd unfortunately...this group of Rams is focused and well coached so it should be a great game

All I've gotta say is, we've been listening to everyone say what we can't do all year long, you can't beat South Point @ South Point ... No way you beat East Lincoln at East, and here we go, no way you are going to beat Reidsville at Reidsville. It all comes down to who wants it more ladies and gents, the team with the most heart wins this game.

And these seniors are back to where we got last year, and I just know that the heart that this team has shown this year, the Rams are going to have to show out on a whole new level if they don't want to walk across that parking lot in tears again like last year

This we can work with! I hope your crowd shows up, King. Seems a trend to see empty seats, in Lincolnton, too. 5 years ago, a 3rd or 4th round game woulda been standing room only. Now, you can come late and get 50 yard line seats. Our crowds been decent, but disappointing from years past. Can't explain it. Maybe too busy? Maybe spoiled fan bases who don't appreciate that success is fleeting? I dunno. But I hope both fan bases come in force, just because the kids deserve it.

As Lincolnton said, the other Ltown fans should know I have nothing but respect for the Wolves. Always respected the program and The toughness you all play with, reminds me a lot of our team in most years. I ask the questions I've asked because I havent seen them play this year. Personally I thought you'd be here regardless but didnt know how you folks felt about Surratts real importance. I think that his stats are tremendous but for whatever reason folks across the state don't give him the credit he's due for the career he has had. Maybe the argument is he's done it in 2A but the 2A class has more parity in most years than any of the other classes in my opinion. I do think Reidsville is a lot better than some of those bickering back and forth realize. This is not the same Reidsville team from last year or a few years back. Much more well rounded with a solid QB, and good special teams.

I'll stop short of saying the winner of this game will pretty much win the state title because we all know how that can go. These are HS kids and things can be unpredictable, however, the winner of this game is the best team in 2A. 2 big time programs battling it out.

Good kicker? I'd imagine you got some of the studs returning kicks.

First half (27) come off sloppy fumbles, they wouldn't have even been in the game had we held on to the ball. Do not sleep on our defense, it has shown progression every week since that Maiden loss, the perfect storm to help push these boys towards a championship. I welcome the Reidsville challenge, to be the best, you gotta beat the best, so here we go!

After fumbling the ball away 3 times and falling behind 27-19 mid way through the 2nd qtr Lincolnton stopped Hendersonville on 5 consecutive possessions to take complete control of the game out scoring them 53-17 over the last 2 1/2 qtrs. No doubt offense is their strength but the Wolves defense is not chopped liver....lots of athletes on that side of he ball too.

Lincolnton has their Harvard bound ace in the hole, and Im told quite a few guys on Reidsville are in the IB program. Would be an epic battle in the world of standardized tests!

I've been listening to a lot of posters, One of the things I was thinking about is how the SD 7 is one of the premier conferences in the state. I believe will be able to see the different skill level in our conferences, (Friday)
We had five teams ranked in the top 15 in all of 2A at the beginning of the year. Four was in the top 15 at the end of the year.
I have watch Reidsville play for the last five weeks, they have a good team but play in a very bad conference. If I'm honest I believe there a better version maybe an older version of Newton Conover in our conference . Of course this is only my opinion, I Believe wolves win by three scores just by strength of schedule
After Friday we can come back and look at the posts and check them and see who was right it was wrong
It should be a fun game to watch

Return game is pretty good but rarely seen. Not very often are kickoffs and punts from the opposing team kicked such that they are returnable. I would imagine the same is true for Reidsville.

Our place kicker has a big time leg. Very capable of touch backs and does so often, though placement kicks are common. I have not been impressed with our kickoff coverage. PATs have been far more exciting than they should be, as of late. Not sure I have even seen a FG attempted the year, though the kicker is very capable.

Our punter is an athlete and has had a few 50+ yard punts but we've only punted 13 (I think?) times this year.
