Congratulations to the Bruins and their fans on the state title.

Congratulations to the Golden Eagles and their fans on a great season.

I'm sure this is not the last we have heard from these two.

Won't see Blacksburg in division 3 again, almost 1900 students, close to 5a size

Good call. Overheard someone here in the pressbox mention they were moving to Class 4 next season.

Jonesville was the last 5-loss team (and only other) to win a state title, doing so back in 1988, per the VHSL's Mike McCall.

Pass interference called in the endzone on a very questionable call on a pass I don't believe was catchable.

That was a terrible call. It looked as if QB was throwing ball away. Probably 8 foot over receiver's head out of bounds.

I know the rules, but still , there should have been no flag on that play. There isn't a wide receiver in high school, college or NFL that could have caught that ball.

The NFHS needs to change the rules on PI. On PI, ball should be spotted at place where PI occurs. and the uncatchable ball rule needs to be put in.
