“Here’s my thing. In light of what happened the other night in town with Denzel and Sedarius Bryant and all that, and Channing Ward’s DUI, and Bobby Hill’s allegations of sexual assault, and it’s allegations. Innocent until proven guilty. I’m a big believer in the system. My only thing is this: It starts to add up from an image standpoint. It does start to add up and anybody can file suit against anybody… But when you build your football program. I think Ole Miss has to address this. Me personally, I think Ross Bjork, Hugh Freeze, Michael Thompson, Kyle Campbell and the people who shape the message, I think they need to get together here soon and begin to formulate a response, a message, a response. When you build your football program around things like core values, family, faith; when your assistant coaches are, and I’m not making fun here at all, when they’re tweeting inspirational quotes and bible verses, when that’s the face of your program that you present in an industry that requires you to recruit young men and their families, when these things happen with this degree of regularity, and again they’re all accusations, but when these accusations are presented with this degree of regularity, it begins to look hypocritical. It begins to look to be hypocritical. I think, you and I talk a lot about image, perception and reality. I think Ole Miss needs to be very careful right now. In the events of the last few weeks don’t begin to form a perception out there that all of a sudden might as well be reality. They have to address this.”
