Similar to the Superdome's Bunker Club

Smart idea, though there's no way I'd want to sit in front of their whiskey and coke slingin' student section like those ticket holders will have to do.

When one of our players scores we can hand money directly to him. Also to any 'croots milling about. It's more efficient.

What? How? It's going in your SOUTH ENDZONE. Maybe you should take a few days off an come back later... You've proved to not be the sharpest tool
In the shed...

Personally, I don't think either MSU or Ole Miss should expand much beyond 60k. The population just isn't there to support it and you'll have lots of games with lots of empty seats.

No way it adds 10k seats

Including suites and the dark grey seats below and you get to 10k? Hell, I think our East side upper deck only holds 7k.

And answer me this... Why would Vaught Hemingway NEED 10,000 more seats? You can't even fill up what you've got now.

Because the last renovation added nearly 10K and it was adding a bowl to the opposite endzone!

You realize the renovation announced yesterday is occurring in your current bowled in endzone. They are taking out rows of regular seats to add suites and building field level suites as well.

Nothing in that press release said anything about bowling in the north endzone... It said there was a field level club being installed in the SOUTH endzone, which is already bowled in.

And if I were going to place a wild *** bet, I would bet your administration isn't stupid enough to put an additional 10000 seats in the opposite endzone. They may do something like we did and add more premium seating, but it won't be close to 10,000 seats.

They are doing it after the 2015 season.

It is the goal of the athletic department to then begin construction on the north endzone after 2015 season with completion before the 2016 season. No premium seating options will be offered in the north endzone at this time. Concept drawings and more information on the north endzone will be released at a later date.

Nothing official has been announced on any specific plans. That was my point... Red57 was claiming they were going to add 10,000 seats and nothing official has been announced besides saying there are future plans to renovate.

Right.....so it stands to reason that unless OM wants a misshapen stadium that's bowled in on one side and only a half bowl on the other they will bowl in the opposite side so it matches. Since the opposite renovation added 10 K seat it also stands to reason that bowling in the non-bowled side will add nearly the same number of seats. Unless, of course, we're talking about the possibility of a stadium that is misshapen.

Why is it such a stretch to think that bowling in the opposite end-zone will add the same amount of seats as before?

When playing the role of Dumb Bear, it's crucial to maintain an air of believability. Strive for somewhere between "garden-variety moron" and "Clarion-Ledger commenter" on the idiot scale. You're currently laying it on a little too thick and sacrificing your credibility, in my humble opinion. You need to scale it back a bit. Occasionally make a rational post to keep them guessing. Maybe compliment Dak's quads or something. Just trying to help.

I agree. Red's post didn't make sense to fishwater's initial reply. Fish was talking about the renovation in the current endzone - not the possible new construction in the other endzone.

It has nothing to do with being asymmetrical, it has everything to do with the fact that there is no way in hell any school in the state of MS could fill a 70,000+ seat stadium. OM can't even fill a 60,000 seat stadium consistently. And don't link a SDS article... I've been to Oxford enough times to know better than to think you guys are 98% full every game. Hell, I had no trouble finding a $20 ticket to the lsu game last year.

Did you party with Matthew McConaughey or spot Deshea Townsend?
It looks like a simple case of tomfoolery opened up a can of worms in my name. My nephew (he's 14) has been using my computer for the past two days and he has cause problems. He's already gotten me banned from rebelfaithful (posing as a hog fan), tiger droppings (posing as a bama fan), rebel nation (posing as a trolling tiger fan), and I was warned by the cup to keep comments "tasteful." Mods, I'm not sure if you can delete the dumass (I might as well embrace the stupidity of my nephew) comments that were made in my name but it wasn't done by me.

I'm really puzzled by the logic.. They're about to bowl in their north endzone and it recently came to light they've deleted the suites on top to save money. Has that change been reversed?

Because if it hasn't.. and they still plan on a 1970's style bowl in the north endzone... Why on earth would you gut the south endzone, take away a valuable area from everyone in the bleachers there and add 30 suites? Why not simply put them on the north endzone next year? AECOM's estimating department has already been calling everybody and their brother getting cost estimates on that addition.
