Thanks! Only 6 blocks from my hotel and more importantly 2 blocks from UCLA campus... I'll be sure to update with picks of the scenery...

Enjoy our fair city. My family moved here 3 months ago and love it. You get the chance, go the California Science Center in Expo Park and pay tribute to the shuttle. There's no cost to go but I think online you can reserve a time to see it for $2 to avoid the lines. For some of the best scenery drive Mulholland Drive and Topanga Canyon Rd.

Well, first of all, tough game to watch... Missed opportunities, turnovers and a Swiss cheese defense made us a non factor. Worth noting: hung out with several football fans that were cheering for us. Yeah, that didn't help either... But they were cheering for the dawgs. Why cheer for MSU at a UCLA bar? well, they all had read about the "riot" at ole miss and were very vocal about their dislike of the Black Bear program... Surprisingly, they knew the distinction between the schools and were very vocal about it. Thought it was worth a post... It was fun cheering with them for Vandy.

I'm not saying I like everything about L.A., but in many ways it's a nice change from Mississippi. I like other areas in Southern California more, but there are more hot single women here than you can imagine!! And most don't start having babies until they're in their 30's and have settled down. They don't have the cultural pressures and desires to get married and start a family immediately out of the gate. It's great!

For anyone that lives here, join up with the Facebook group I created a few months ago. Just search Mississippi State alumni Los Angeles. Haven't had a game watch get together yet, partly because of the 9 AM starts, and partly out of laziness on my part in finding a good watch location. Hoping to set up something for the egg bowl though.

We are new here too, one of the main complaints I hear about LA is the commuting. Luckily my wife and I live and work in the South Bay, so we completely avoid the 405 most days.
