“Karma can be hell”

John Calipari would’ve done well to live by that last year with the “bennies” talk and then an early tourney exit.

Wann know why I was so pissed last season? Becaue you don’t get on air waves and say “I like my team. Best practice we’ve had all year. A lion doesn’t listen to the opinion of a lamb” and then go out and lay an egg like that to St Peters. He deserved every ounce of crap he got following that loss. And THEN he ducks his final call in show. WTF. Stoops didn’t do that. Hell. Stoops is in air TONIGHT after probably his worst performance Ever.

THATS why this looks bad for Cal. Why can’t you objectively see that?
We had injuries last year that kept our team from reaching our potential. When we were at full strength we were the best team in the nation as evidence by our wins at Kansas and over UNC. Why can't you objectively see that?

I do. Know what else I objectively saw? Sharpe sitting on his ***. And an effective Jacob Toppin that didn’t see the light of day for the second half. But sure. Let’s let Grady hurt himself more.

Some of the things Matt said were legit and I thought he said them in a respectful way but IMHO he let his numnuts sidekick go on and on and on and on about it and RL almost got personal towards Cal
I have never understood why the guys on KSR think whatever R does is the funniest thing that has ever happened

Ryan…I love Ryan. But sometimes Ryan does go way too far. Even Matt has to chastise him. Dude is what late forties and acts like a frat boy sometimes. Sure. For a couple of minutes it’s fun. But he always goes to far.

I do think we are due for a good season but the last two years aren’t something a program like Kentucky can just sweep under the rug. Matt has done more than his fair share of Cal supporting. He easily held out longer than most of us did as far as criticism.

If you’re Cal this is a bad look. He knows the pull KSR has around the state. Matt and every other media outlet across the commonwealth are aware we’ve stunk it up for the most part since 2015. That isn’t his fault, it is our coaches.

What does Cal gain from going on KSR? He does his own show, the pregames plus national media. In my book all he’d be doing is elevating KSR and they’re kind of a bunch of goofballs. When I’ve listened they’ve admitted to not watching the games and generally have little to offer. He’d be better served doing a livestream on this board than on KSR.
Well, for starters, simply getting the fanbase back.

I get it, some fans will love Cal no matter how badly he fails, but even the biggest Cal fan should easily be able to understand why a large portion of the fanbase would not be happy with Cal. He knows this too. If he cares about the fanbase at all, he would make a strong effort to go on shows like KSR and answer the tough questions.

So far, all he's done is blame the pandemic for the 9-16 season, he isn’t taking responsibility for it and he's basically flipping the bird at the fanbase by not talking to us.

What Cal says goes. If he's done with him we are too. Cal runs this state and the biggest person ever in the state of Kentucky.
Only for Cal *** kissers. I wouldn't give two fcks if Cal left. About Every coach that ever coached here except the drunk has won national championships. This program is now and always has been bigger than any coach except Rupp. He made Kentucky basketball what it is.

who do you think the fans (minus Saturday’s debacle) like more Cal or Stoops? And part of that is one is not afraid to answer criticism and is open to the fans. And doesnt take passive aggressive shots. I still like Cal but I’ve NEVER liked that aspect of him.
That wasnt my point. You took Matts quote as gospel. Stoops is not saint either. No coach is. Many many people on here and in Kentucky. Wonder why Cal even talk to Jerry Tipton but he did. People wish Cal wont say another word oublically but then when he doesn’t they ***** about that to. Jones come across as butt hurt because someone had the audacity to say no to him.

Seems like you’re putting a lot of weight on KSRs reach but ok. Not sure what other shows but I can see your point.

In my mind the way he gets the fan base back is by winning. He goes on a show and says whatever and then it is picked apart like the basketball school comment most likely. I just don’t see the upside for him. And I’m also not sure what you expect him to say. Like a mea culpa for Sharpe? Good luck with that.

Well, Cal needs to show some humility, especially after all the "basketball Benny" comments.

If there's a show out there that reaches more bbn members, what is it?

Even if there is a bigger one, he should still go in KSR, why not, what does he have to hide?

He’s the one that went 9-16 and lost to SP, the very least he could do is go on KSR and talk to the fans.

I like KSR and the preshow. I work 3rds and the podcast burns away a 3rd of my night. I don't always like or agree with them Sometimes Matt thinks the world revolves around him and he's the only one who's opinion is right.

As for Cal not going on I think its sad. Why not go on. Its not like they aren't going to kiss some Italian butt. What are Cals reasons. Is pre St Peters or post that caused Cal to turn. KRS in my opinion has been fair in thier criticism over the past couple of years.Too bad they can't put it behind them and move forward. I would enjoy Cal on the show for 30 min's or so.
