They have very similar personalities. I’m pretty certain they are both narcissists. No way the two of them could get along.
Actually I don’t think Jones has really “criticized “ him . He absolutely “questioned” some things and he absolutely commented about the mood of the UK fanbase towards Cal .
IMO this move by Jones is the equivalent of Cal going public and proclaiming UK a basketball school. Bush league.

Wait till Stoops starts feeling the heat from UK fans and forcing Matt Jones to ask him tough questions during his time on the ksr show. Right now Jones is in the boot licking portion of the Stoops/Jones relationship but it will pass soon. After a couple more years of middle of the pack in the SEC, he will have to start asking the question of is this as far as Stoops can take the program.
Hell, his own cohost don’t even question him. Surrounded by yes men, the same type he criticized Calipari having on his staff.
Calipari is extremely thin skinned. That’s why he insist he doesn’t “care” about anything and wants everyone to know nothing bothers him. People who really don’t care that much also don’t care to tell you they don’t care every damn day.
Matt didn’t carry the water on something and Calipari will hold a grudge until he’s gone and then will continue to hold a grudge.
I know you don't like Matt, but you're honest. I guess you've already seen that side of Cal. Just weird with him talking about brother's keeper, and whatever else he rambles on about. I could see it if Matt didn't support him. He does, he was just critical of the last 2 seasons like the rest of us.
I actually don’t have an opinion on Matt these days. It might seem that way, but my only issue I had was lying about info then acting like he’s above everyone. As far as today honestly I really don’t like or dislike Matt, I hope he represents our name well and promotes us positively. I guess I’m not a fan really, but I don’t think about him much or listen to him at all.
Whatever he did to make Calipari reject him at this point probably isn’t that big. It doesn’t have to be. Kyle Tucker is a prime example of what Calipari expects from a loyal media man. I think Matt probably just didn’t put positive spin on Calipari while we were losing and that’s enough. Had he talked about something Calipari was using to shield himself, like some kind of charity or something, then he’d be on his show.
This just made me remember when Dan Patrick was trashing Cal, and Cal called into his show acting like someone else.
