Not really a Matt guy but all he did last year was say out loud what everybody else was thinking and saying themselves. So I give him props for not allowing his relationship with the basketball office to get in the way of legit analysis and criticisms. Matt was absolutely right to do air them.

I think the one that touched a nerve with Cal was that Matt got on him about being so dismissive of the fan base last year, and Matt expressed that with some intensity. Thats probably what caused the current cold shoulder, not the X and O criticisms IMO

It's pretty funny how butt-hurt Cal is at Matt, when Matt has supported Cal since he got here.

Has Matt questioned Calipari's offense, and some questionable late game coaching? Of course. That's his job. But Matt has always been quick to say that he doesn't want anyone else to coach here.

That’s not true. A lot of people had high hopes for the season including 10 wins with the return of Levis, crowd was and others. With the games we lost including that South Carolina debacle, it was a huge let down.

I think this is incorrect. Sometime during the 9-16 season, Ryan said that the team sucked, not that they were stupid. I also question the claim of a video of it happening circulating on twitter, because well, there wouldn't be video of a radio show unless they were at a remote in front of a crowd, and since this was during covid, they didn't do remotes with crowds. When Ryan said the team sucked, Jones told him that's too harsh and to apologize, which Ryan did immediately. Maybe I misheard, but I don't think so.

Calipari has an enormous ego that must be satisfied every minute he is in the media spotlight. Same is true of MJ...only, he isn't the head coach of the Kentucky basketball program.
Both can be (and frequently are) insufferable asses.
But, in this battle of asinine behavior, I think Calipari looks more petty because of the position he holds and the expectations of fans.

On the bright side, MJ is now free to criticize Calipari and his program as much as he likes, while Calipari can honestly say about MJ..."I haven't seen him."

Fair. Leach is very dry but it's what some here are looking for when they complain that KSR is too silly or not focused on sports some days. I just look at it like this - no show is going to be for everyone, but I personally wouldn't want to listen to a two hour show continue to relive our beatdown from Sat. Day after day, until Thursday when the hosts shift focus to Mizzou for two days or talk about our exhibition tomorrow night that doesn't matter.

It's a show about UK sports. When I lived in Michigan, it was a savior for me, it was a way to stay connected and find out about a lot of things I wouldn't typically find out until much later.

KSR is also rated #1 in their timeslot continuously, so obviously millions like it and like I said, it's not easy to orchestrate a college based radio show, but they pull it off.

You don't have to listen, but it’s pretty messed up to trash them when you have no idea what it's like to do a live radio show based on college sports.
