That was my point. They build them with precision from the ground up, using specifically made-on-site chassis, body panels, and engines, then put a couple of decals on it so it'll look like it's got headlights and such, and people call it "stock car racing" and go bananas over it being a Chevy or Ford or whatever. Unless I'm mistaken, when NASCAR first started they used real cars, maybe hopped up a little.
