Wish him well? Only those with Stockholm Syndrome and a lack of pride will do that.
Still waiting on my Callahan updates!
Not a chance in hell I want him to do well. Because every time he wins a game the vapid idiots come out and wish for him to come back to Lincoln. If this were the ex-girlfriend scenario, I would not wish her well. At least Callahan and Solich walked away with class and didn't trash on NU after they left. I have no problems with those guys having success, albeit quite limited.

What are the Pelini fan boys so upset about? We are back to going 9-3 and getting blown out, they should be happy. And BoBo is back to going 9-3 and melting down on everyone. All is well in the world.

Even Pope Tom finally admitted his personality was a problem. Which for him is the equivalent of an ex keying your truck.
But we STILL have thumb-suckers in the fanbase openly cheering for him.

There's a whole lotta ex-girlfriend syndrome going on in this thread. If you're happy that he is not coaching at Nebraska, should probably just wish him well and move on.
I would but see, I can't forget that he tried to sabotage our program on the way out. Do you need to listen to his speech to the team again? GTFO with this wish him well crap.

His inability or unwillingness to play run defense in the B1G ten was a bigger problem than his personality.

They both co hand in hand if you ask me...He came in here as a defensive guru and left as a defense fraud when it came down to total defense.
to be honest, I actually liked his scheme that was predicated on taking away big pass plays down the seam that are common in college football. The biggest problem is that his lazy recruiting didn't allow the scheme to work because you need great DTs to make it all work. His inability to parlay Suhs success into good DL recruits was devastating. He also was as set in his ways and inflexible as Bill Callahan was on offense. His refusal to bring up safety help to stop the run being a prime example.

Lol. Wow. A whole lot of bitter, exes around here. As I said, if we are better off without him, there shouldn't be ao much vitriol. A lot of bitterness around here.

Never once did I say I wanted Pelini back. It's just funny to watch so many overly opinionated hypocrites at work.
I hate to tell you this, but Bo doesn't like you.

No, those that are able to point out hypocrisy will do that. 99% of posters here trash pelini 3 years after he left. Yet, Riley has been unable to surpass any of Pelini's performances, he posted a 5-win regular season record, hasn't sniffed a confernce championship game, and, now, it seems even Riley's recruiting is on par with Pelini's.

Yet, here we are. The very same crowd bitching like jaded 14 year-old girls, over and over, bashing a coach that is likely over Nebraska and its fans.

Nope. I'm just fascinated that there are actually still fans that love a coach that A: tried to sabotage the program on the way out and B: never won a thing of significance here in 7 long years. Truly fascinating.
Yep. And I don't care for him as a person or representative of Nebraska Football.

But until Riley is able to exceed what that slab of meat with mittens did at Nebraska, we look like chumps. I really and truly couldn't care less if our coach's doppelgänger is Guy Smiley. I was done with the personality wars as soon as Nebraska got destroyed on national television by OSU, and then went on to get waxed by a mediocre Iowa team.

Look that's a bit early to say imo . We had a very Bo like year and record this year without the bad pub he brought to the school. And without a QB for a pro style system. If we aren't exceeding Pelini in a couple years I would most likely agree with you though.

I didn't like the way he left the program what was said and the blow out losses to Wisconsin, but the Pelini era wasn't a total disaster compared to the Pederson/ Callahan era or was it an experiment...

Pederson left this program with his hire back to the day's close to the Jennings era..

Just wait another 2 years for Pelini to get all this own players in his system and he gets rid of all the cancerous attitudes on the team. It takes a coach 4-5 years to transition offenses like he's trying to do, and he's basically starting from scratch with how bare Eric Wolford left the cupboard. But you should see all the recruits that are visiting! He...

...wait...I cannot even finish with how ridiculous this all sounds.

When he has a team full of his recruits look for them to suck....

Yeah better than Callahan but yikes that's a low bar. Bo just didn't have a recruiting strategy or plan and it killed our depth. It's why his teams nearly always collapsed late season due to injuries. Lazy recruiting led to inadequate depth.

Wait a minute quote" I will not let this program gravitate in to mediocrity and surrender this program to Oklahoma and texass"

Who lowered the bar.

I agree with the lazy recruiting on Pelini staff part.

Well then we're going to a Solich discussion. Callahan sucked and Pelini led us back to mediocrity. Unfortunately Pelini didn't improve the program from his first year to his last year.

Theres still people that cant accept that there are fans who wanted Bo gone but at the same time dont see anything from Riley that merits belief that our team will improve. Same records, same blowouts, same inconsistent play, same recruiting results (of course this cycle isnt over).
People who try to make everyone whose critical into being a Bo fan really come off as trying too hard and defensive because there may be a fear of reality lying beneath...its just a defense mechanism to try to silence people.
But what someone said is right, Bo does hate us and he is surely rooting for us to lose, remember his sons tweet? Cant root for him in the NC.

Bo down fall was losing 3 conference titles well at least 2 for sure the 2009 CCG was a shame and would have not happen if the situation was in reverse, but there was no excuse losing a Big lead against OU and getting our *** kicked to a 8-6 Wisconsin team that is still embarrassing and still hard for me to except after beating them ealier in October.

Big 12 conference title games were so easy to reach that Callahan went to one . I never was too impressed with it.

Tis true. I guess time will tell.
Regardless, my larger point stands, holding this staff to the same expectations as the previous does not make one a Bo lover.
Unless one has a pattern of being a bloner.

Hoping he gets a huge pay raise after this season to lessen the burden on NU buyout.
