Bo down fall was losing 3 conference titles well at least 2 for sure the 2009 CCG was a shame and would have not happen if the situation was in reverse, but there was no excuse losing a Big lead against OU and getting our *** kicked to a 8-6 Wisconsin team that is still embarrassing and still hard for me to except after beating them ealier in October.
Our best option in that game was running wildcat with Burkhead because T-mart was hurt. It's hard to keep a solid offensive team like OU down the whole game especially when your offense wasn't productive. I can't blame him for that loss. I do wish we would have tried to kick the fg with Henry instead of going for it though.

Why didn't he have a capable back up QB?

I was wondering if Bo was going to freak out when they put the one second back up. Im not a fan of his personally, but if they would have lost in that last added second, I would have felt bad for him.

That one second changed the future of this program.

Not a chance in hell I want him to do well. Because every time he wins a game the vapid idiots come out and wish for him to come back to Lincoln. If this were the ex-girlfriend scenario, I would not wish her well. At least Callahan and Solich walked away with class and didn't trash on NU after they left. I have no problems with those guys having success, albeit quite limited.
You're really good at making stuff up in your head.

No, Jeans, it was a direct response to Pelinithecrutch, who was making fun of people saying Riley and company need time and shouldn't be judged just yet until they have their players in.

There are 2 schools of thought in huskerville, both of which you are familiar with. Those who say give Riley time to get his players in, and those who say .500 coach will never improve. If you're (PTC) gonna make fun of those who are saying give him time, then you better be ready fun of for thinking Bo will change. If a person thinks Riley won't change, then the argument is that Bo won't change either. But since he has, then maybe we need to let Riley have the opportunity to change as well. He certainly had a good enough second season to be given more time.

Context matters.

Bo isn't going to change. I caught that old familiar look, steam coming out of his ears and his face all scrunched up when his DBs gave up an easy TD to EWU's best player, WR Cooper Kupp.

Westerkamp out, Tommy's bad hammy, Ryker's damaged wrist and playing in the Vol's backyard does not bode well for the Huskers in their bowl game. So the outcome of that game won't bother me nearly as much as the Iowa game. That one still stings. Riley and staff didn't get the team ready. From my viewpoint the Huskers still think it is ok to get blown out like they did in Columbus and Iowa City. I don't think the Huskers played as well after Madison and Columbus. The run game seemed to work better before Columbus. What was our big win this year? There doesn't seem to be a Michigan State this year. Wyoming was the only team that finished with a winning record at 8-5 that Nebraska beat. Northwestern, Indiana and Maryland were all 6-6. Illinois and Purdue were 3-9. Oregon wasn't much better at 4-8. Fresno State's record, 1-11, got their coach fired.

One thing that has been a constant on this board since Mike got hired has been people writing to tell all to just wait until the new coach gets his players on campus. Then things will change. Well we are about to find out. After the bowl game a whole bunch of Bo's players are leaving. Hope we are ok.

Riley has a really amazing record in bowl games, like 8-1 I think. I think NU will be fine vs Tennessee

pelini is gaining interest from minny fans. some think they have a real good shot at fleck. of course, that all depends on the claey situation. some think claey's will be gone after the bowl game---some think minny may have no choice but to keep claey's.
