Rhavicc...you may be a little right, but I'm sorry I am just not big on the leadership of this program right now and I hope I turn out to be completely wrong and I will be happy yo eat all the crow I need to eat. The recruiting is going great, but until we see the results with the leadership on the sidelines I will remain skeptical all the whIle being at the games cheering my head off

According to Louisville fans, he was getting paid 6 figures to not coach wrs, all he did was recruit, but at the same time he didn't even help bring in any recruits. So he got paid 6 figures to do nothing? Sounds like he has the best job in the world. He isn't asked to do anything yet he keeps getting that check. Must've been a real funny, likable guy to keep getting paid big money like that, maybe he was the coaches personal stand up comedian?
As Louisville should. Kentucky is your superior in every sport even though you've owned us in just football. Kentucky is the bigger, more successful flagship school, so it's understandable why Louisville is obsessed with Kentucky.
I'll be honest, I don't know why it's the other way around with some of our fans, but it's pretty sad and embarrassing.

Isn't our whole thing doing it the "right way"? We all love busting balls about Pitino and Petrino being adulterers but we just hired a woman beater with a Miami-esqe rap sheet from a program we all know to be cheaters to be our ace recruiter.

I saw that yesterday too and it was certainly disheartening.
But you also have to take into account that the post is almost 10 years old. People learn from their mistakes and grow. I trust Mitch Barnhart to vet the guy and be solid judge of character.
There is no bigger UK Football fan than Slugger..trust me..He is died in the wool blue..I may be bigger in basketball..but he is at the top in football.

I don't doubt the dude has changed but this has proven to be a pain in my *** already in the trash talking department. I've been blowing people up with the "culture of abuse" talk since Petrino go re-hired and already I've had this thrown in my face by every UL fan I know.
Also, I just think we could have done better.
On the bright side, he's been with Petrino for 3 years and knows how the guy game plans so that may help us in the series. You see those type of hires all the time in the NFL with coaches and players. He also probably has some pretty good leads on players coming out of Dade County which would be interested in playing for an SEC school.

Have you considered the timing of all this, by any chance? Is some UofL coach going to announce he's leaving all upset on the day before signing day for college prospects and somehow try and rain on the Louisville NSD parade?? Is there any part of this that makes any sense?
I'll grant you, he may well have been leaving. But who makes this kind of splash on the way out? This guy has to work in coaching circles for the rest of his life. This is a seriously awful look for him. I imagine someone - maybe even Matty Bangs - got wind of it and leaked it. But if this were leaked by someone in the UK program, lol, that's an even worse look.

Some ugly stuff there. The article talks a lot About arrests and suggests convictions. Poor journalism to not specify outcomes. But, the claims are awful and while I like second and third chances, I admit I like it when other programs offer those (just being honest).
