Loss is a loss, but that was a FBS team out there

Very close to a win for us. Kudos to the Spartans and the big catches their WRs kept making. One thing to lose due to turnovers and mental errors; quite another for the other guys to keep making big plays.

We looked good hanging with the #4 team in the country.

Bonus is that I think we only had 3 penalties called on us. HUGE improvement.

Yep, exactly what you guys are saying; no TOs, few drive-killing penalties, swarming defense.

MSU's receivers were tremendous. Time after time, they made critical receptions, in traffic, with contact. It would be easy to say luck was a factor, but that would be foolish. Not sure we could have defended them better. They just made the plays when they had to. Hats off to them.

The question is, why have we never seen our kids play like this under Fraud? Did you see Coach Wilson ripping Denman after a screw up?

I thought the team (and coaches) played a good game tonight. Wasn't perfect, and it'll almost never be perfect. But was really pretty good. If we play this well next week, I'll be feeling a lot more positive about the team than I was prior to tonight.

Tonight we played a very solid game overall. We need to bring the same performance to Bloomington next week and come out of there with the win. If we have a letdown and wet the bed next week, that takes away so much of what we did well tonight.

So - let's get that W!
