Honest to GOD I never thought this guy would ever speak a coherent sentence again.

That being said, he seems like the only person on the left that has a brain.
There are plenty of idiots on the left but not all of them are stupid. Those in the Senate who won't vote for a clean CR know exactly what they are doing. Manufacturing a crisis and then trying to use it as leverage.

Democrats are dumb.

🚨 BREAKING: In an outrageous move, Senate Democrats *REJECT* paying essential federal employees during the government shutdown. Needed 60 votes.

The vote comes after Democrats admitted "suffering" is their "leverage."

Chuck Schumer is vile. They shut the government down for illegals, then refused to pay essential American workers.

The people see what's happening. Chuck and Hakeem WON'T shake this off. GOP CANNOT CAVE to the left on this!

The shutdown: How did we get here?

Democrats had an opportunity to make these enhanced health care subsidies permanent during the Biden years, but chose not to

#RESIST... lfmao...

They also passed a dozen continuing resolutions under Biden... But can't now. F'ing losers....
this entire episode is going to take a unique turn next week when there's no money to restock the SNAP cards. I think then that @firegiver's concern over free speech will come front and center when folks complain they have no federal money for food.

Two serious questions for those who support democrats who are refusing to vote for CR:
  1. Why did democrats pass the Covid era expanded subsidies for only 3 years? Were they lying about it having anything to do with Covid and their intention to make it temporary?
  2. Why are you so opposed to a 20 hr per week work (volunteer, school) requirement for able bodied working age people on Medicaid & food stamps? Do you think 20 hrs per week is too much to expect?

I might be wrong, but a previous democrat proposals also included work requirements. But that was when democrats were more to the center than they are now.

.@SenSchumer has repeatedly called GOP “lies and deception” to justify the shutdown.

The Big Secret Chuck won’t admit:

Democrats hide benefits for illegal aliens in EVERY spending bill in convoluted ways.
It’s not out in the open.
It’s not something you could readily point to and say, Ah! Here it is in black and white, entitlements for illegals..

Their machinations are clever, their workarounds obscure.

It is not “clarifications" buried in 1000s of legal mumbo jumbo, .@TheDemocrats actively gut work requirements and expand entitlements (taxpayer handouts) through legislative loopholes.
Many of which,.@DOGE has exposed as circle back path$ to themselves.

GOP passed a clean funding. Dems rejected it —12 times, and choose hissy fits and chaos to distract from benefits
for illegals.

Dems put their imported third world base over Americans, and they do it on the sly…
to play the victim heroes.

LOL.. The liberal nut jobs just might start shooting at their own.

Democrats Fear Their Liberal Base If They Vote to Reopen Government

The standard reading of the current government shutdown is a relatively simple Republicans-versus-Democrats tale. That is, Republicans supported a “clean” bill to keep the government open beyond the end of the fiscal year, while Democrats tried to force unrelated policy riders into the must-pass legislation. Lacking agreement, and thus with not enough Democrats joining Republicans to reach the 60-vote margin needed to pass most legislation in the Senate, the government shut down on October 1. As many have noted, that reflects a role reversal from other recent shutdowns, when Republicans were the ones insisting on policy riders involving budget cuts, Obamacare, and the border wall.

The current shutdown includes its own policy details, notably Democrats’ insistence on extending supercharged Obamacare subsidies they first created in the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act, which was nominally meant to address the pandemic. Democrats continued those subsidies in their 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. That legislation extended the expanded subsidies through the end of this year, repeating a budget gimmick both parties use to mask costs by making policies temporary. Democrats now propose permanently continuing the expanded subsidies, without offering how they would cover the $350 billion cost. They also are intent on repealing Medicaid savings included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act enacted on July 4, while similarly offering no way to fill the nearly $1 trillion budget hole that would create.

their lack of intelligent leadership is truly stunning. as my old man would say - they don't know whether to shitt or wind their watch.

I am not in favor of the shut down as I prefer normal order of business. However the election has consequences. The BBB bill was passed cutting out the Obama Care spending. Now the Democrats want to use blackmail to get the money back. I say hold the rudder steady. Fo not cave on this one.

If posting irrelevant, TDS-induced drivel was an Olympic event, you'd be the American captain. A true giant of the sport.
If tossing orange salad was an Olympic Sport, you'd win the gold medal in the de-taint-athon
