They're both biased. But the difference is that you seek to project the image of a guy who is in the middle of the political spectrum even while espousing the Republican party line on every issue. You could not even admit that it was a mistake for the Trump Administration to allow live munitions to be fired over Interstate 5 while it was open, which is precisely what would have happened had Governor Newsom not closed I-5..

@LafayetteBear I had a special laugh about the firing live munitions over civilian areas in the US.

Do you realize that armed nuclear wespons have been transported over civilian sirspace for many years.

Even had one dropped by accident in Savvanah Georgia and supposedly never recovered.

Do the live firing was handled properly as the access was needed by the military.

I cannot ssy who when where and the exact Presidents who were in charge but this has been done a bunch of times.

Democrats are again misreading the room thinking that shutting down the government will help them in elections this week. It’s crushing them.

SNAPPED: Just two weeks ago Democrats protests worrying that Trump would become a king. Now an Obama judge is ordering Trump to ignore Congress and fund SNAP despite a lack of appropriation. If Judge McConnell can make Trump fund SNAP why can't he make Congressional Democrats pass the CR to fund everything?

The “Affordable Care Act” is a scam.

• If you’re over 60, they hit you with $3,000–$4,000 a month in premiums — just for getting older.

• If your family of four earns over $120,000, you’re cut off from subsidies and forced to pay full freight while illegal immigrants and welfare recipients get theirs for free.

It’s not affordable. It’s a war on the middle class.

Solid analysis.

Exactly as the Dems intended. After elections on the 5th, of course.

Turns out that fomenting outrage by fake framing the GOP for shutting down the govt and temporarily deny SNAP benefits to get their troops angry is a ‘get out the vote’ strategy.

Turns out that the folks that claim to be all about “saving democracy” will do anything to try and game elections.

It might come to this.

**** Step 3. I am one of the people not getting paid right now but have the means to get by for a couple/several of months. The ones that don't didn't plan for any adversity. They drive fancy cars and have lots of debt.

The moment that pubs bow to this ****, when the dems take control, they will do the same thing.

**** that.

When the Affordable Care Act passed. behind closed doors, without one Republican vote, the average annual premiums for a family of four people was around $1,000 per year.

In a three year period, a family of four ended up having to pay annual premiums of $5,000 and an excessive amount of out-of-pocket costs before the medical insurance paid. It was a scam before it was passed.

We all know. This happened to all of us.

"We had to pass the bill to see what was in it"......Nancy Pelosi

I'll bet that black robe ****** is getting a check right now. Congress should not be getting paid right now, even though all of us know their paycheck is a small percentage of their wealth.

Do it now.

Trump reiterates why we should terminate the filibuster.

If we continue to let the Dems keep the government shut down, they will continue to sabotage Trump’s presidency.

End the filibuster, pass voter-ID, deport illegals, Dems never win an election again, problem solved.

If we don’t do this, then Dems will continue to obstruct Trump and nothing will get done. If we don’t deport their illegals and pass voter ID/election security laws, the Dems will cheat and try to steal 2026 and 2028, and then all of the MAGA movement will have been for nothing. And then they will get rid of the filibuster anyways and we will become a one-Party Left-wing state, ruled by the most corrupt people on the planet.

People need to stop looking at this through the lens of politics and playing fairly. This is irregular political warfare. There is no honor. There is only victory and defeat.

We must defeat the Dems now and save the Republic.

well, there is an interesting development on the shutdown. Seems as if a group of house republicans - 189 of them - has declared they are against any extension of the Biden COVID ACA extensions. Remember, if the Senate changes the "clean" CR, it has to go back to the house for a vote. Democrats wouldn't have enough votes to pass the revises CR without some Republican support - not that there wouldn't be enough Republican votes left to pass it if all democrats voted for it.

This is why the Democrats will keep the shutdown going. There's no downside for them. They can stop the Trump agenda in its tracks for as long as they like. They don't care if planes crash and people die and federal workers are evicted from their homes. They will just blame Republicans. And they will get away with it because the media lies and Democrat voters are lemmings.

Then get rid of the filibuster. Seems simple.

Reminder that every single senate democrat, minus Manchin and Sinema, voted to get rid of the filibuster. Twice.

Looks like the Democrats if they get power will change all the Senate rules

Last change ended with them on the short end as now Trump judges for the next 3 years will be Run through with 51 votes

Of course I am hoping Vance for President in 28 with Rubio as Vice President

If they win and Repubs hold Senate it will be a generational sea change to conservative common sense judiciary

The three liberal women on there need to go and retire

didn't republicans already offer a 1 year extension?

lest we forget, whatever Senate approves has to go back to house.
Not sure but if they did, we're meeting them in the middle so time to play ball and get the government open.

The exit polling from the NJ Governors race showed a huge advantage for Sherrill on the issue of healthcare so voters want this to be a priority for Republicans. Somebody needs to listen or the mid-terms will be a blue wipeout.

1. Top Voter Issues: Economy Dominates, But With a Democratic Twist Voters prioritized pocketbook concerns, but their framing favored Sherrill's pitch on broader economic relief over Ciattarelli's tax-cut focus. This reversed 2024 presidential trends, where "economy-first" voters broke heavily Republican.

I don't disagree with your post. Where we might disagree is how to get to better healthcare. If I understand, the enhanced subsidies only contribute about 3% or so of the projected increase for this year. So no matter what happens on subsidies the premiums are going up considerably. (I've seen that 3% number a couple of places, but I can't certify it's 100% correct).

I personally believe it's time for members of both parties (I know you love that) to get together and restructure the ACA to make it more affordable, or come up with some other alternatives for that purpose. If we're honest, we'd both admit what we have now isn't working and if we get beyond which party is either to blame or to get credit, maybe we can come up with something that works.

If democrats have offered what is being reported then both parties (again) should accept, take credit, and reopen the government. This has gone on too long and both the country and the people have been hurt
