I'm laughing too. Unfortunately West Lincoln is a tougher team. It's not always about speedy kids.

I really believe Beam's stock is dropping every week at NConover. Not sure what the problem is but these NC teams dont resemble BEam/Burns teams at all....and the athletes are there. Has he lost the touch? Is he preoccupied?

I don't get it either. This team has the talent and will have for the next 3 to 4 years. I understand a lot of the athletes/playmakers are sophomores, but at some point you have to let these kids have the chance to make plays. Just cannot continue to wait until the 4th quarter to use the playbook and open the offense up.

There are starting to be a lot of rumblings about some of the players parents moving kids out of district to play elsewhere...hate it for Newton fans because this team has a chance to be conference contenders the next three years(or more)...new coaching changes every year can't help the situation....

I would tell them to go on. I'll pack your bags for you and pay for the bus ticket. I haven't seen one superstar on this team.

Yes, you are right. Lots of coaching changes every year and a coach looking for a job after each season. Next time they hire a coach he needs to be asked to move to this community or fire him after the first year. Either get involved here with the youth teams, interact with the middle school, or hit the road. If you are not all in, neither are the kids.

I'll say this as well. The methodology of developing the kids needs to be revisited. This focus on high scoring and less running between the tackles is not going to make the kids tough.
