I know this game cant an wont happen but if it did this year who would you all take in this matchup? I sit around an ponder this very question because mallard creek were so talented an deep as a team. Charlotte Catholic has one of the best coaching staffs around an Offensive lines that I have seen year in an year out.

The result would look very similar to the last two times they have met. The games have not been close to competitive. Over by half time.

2014: CC vs MC 33-0 at halftime they stop the game because of lighting and restart on Monday. 41-20! If they don't stop this game. MC breaks the clock.
2013: 52-7

CC did not renew the contract for a reason. MC is built to stop CC's Offense. Very discipline! Bigger, stronger and Faster. A horrible match up for CC! Mallard Creek by a bunch.

Mallard Creek would win and it'd get ugly. No offense, love my guys, but look at the CC OL and the MC DL. That matchup alone would doom Catholic because of MC's size and athleticism on the DL and Catholic's lack of both this season.

Who cares? Catholic is barely a 3AA school with 1250 students playing up because they wish to and Mallard Creek is 4AA with 2500 students plus. What Catholic does in 4A is remarkable regardless. What Catholic does is far more remarkable than anything a school with mobile students does.

Catholic was at one time a 4A school, since the opening of the new Catholic HS in Huntersville they've dropped about 250 kids in enrollment. They were at 1247 this season which would put them in 3A, not 3AA.

They had 4A numbers on the last alignment.

Catholic is more like the newer Union County schools demographically or Providence and Ardrey Kell. I think them being in a 3A conference with Union County is a perfect fit.

I agree it is a perfect fit. Especially gate wise. No more crappy crowds from schools like Berry, West Meck, etc. Most of these schools will bring larger crowds and the athletic department is self sustaining at CC so it'll be a much needed boost.
