He hasn't lost it yet this year and teams have tried that. He has cooled down as the year has progressed. Kennedy and other players are in his ear when he gots going too much. I think y'all are misinterpreting his attempt to gig the other team as him being volatile. And I don't think anyone at Ole Miss will care if someone hits him, automatic ejection, free throws, and someone's player being suspense and coach being criticized as not having control. I would love for about three UF players to whip his *** when we go to Gainsville, preferably their top 3.

Racism is a belief that one race is above another. Not some possibly insensitive joke about a university's past.

So you have gone from saying it isnt racist at all to explaining what racism is and not addressing the obvious contradiction that his comment fits your definition.

He made a joke that declares the white guy's nickname is that of a person who supervised the work slaves did. This isnt a joke about the university's past, its a joke about slavery.
You say racism is believing one race is above the other, but that definition doesnt apply to racist jokes. Racist jokes only need to suggest and/or hit on one race being above the other- and Mutt's joke did just that.

Based on your logic, i could tell a joke that demeans women beyond simple objectification and stereotyping and take it to actual oppression, and i am not sexist as long as i dont believe it. Thats fine and all, but the joke is still sexist, even if i am not.
Just like that, Mutt's joke is racist, even if he is not.
...though with him, i wouldnt be surprised.

If it wasn't a joke about Ole Miss then what did he mean by

"At Ole Miss" and "They"? Just because something is insensitive doesn't necessarily make it racist. I'm sorry you can't tell the difference.

And for the record, I didn't find it to be a very good joke or at all funny. The word racist is just so overused that I find it to be unfair to the people that actually did have their lives effected by racism.

Only if it's racist to name your school after a prominent white member of a plantation.

take your pick.

If there's nothing wrong with the joke, why do you feel the need to state "for the record" that you don't think it's funny?

Maybe I was just being honest. I didn't realize that I had to find the joke either funny or racism. Didn't know there was no inbetween. I stand by all previous comments.

Good Day

If he played for anybody else I would despise him.

Fortunately, he plays for us, so the jackassery is just that much more entertaining. Kid is so clutch, thought.
