yeah looks like the west will be difficult again, with some new faces in the mix. Schools like Bunker Hill and Chase wont go away easy.

You'll know alot more about Lincolnton after this week vs.......... Maiden.

Not top tier yet, but Walkertown, Lincolnton, Bunker Hill, and 1 or 2 others can knock off any of the top 7 if ball bounces the right way.

Not gonna be alot of cake walks in the west after round 1, maybe none at all.

1. "Why is East Carteret so high?" - Because they have a winning record and are currently 3-0 in conference. I gave them a Conf Champ seed for this week.

2. Pine Lake Prep getting a 4 seed really chaps my rear end

Hiawassee Dam won't be available...but the lost boys at Uwharrie Forest said they wouldn't mind a pack of Wolves coming over...I'll see what I can do

Heide Trask has a West Craven alumni coaching there. Hunter Hackney. He is the baseball coach. Came to Vanceboro and beat us in the playoffs in baseball. He is the JV football coach at Trask and an assistant on varsity football. We are proud of him!!

They were 0-9 last year…same schedule this year as well.

Someone lit a fire in Rocky Point!😉

I definitely remember the 90-62 game with Hobbton from last year….but that’s all I know…..and they had a good baseball team…like Otis said.

I thought I read that If they finish .500 or better in conference they were eligible.
Sump’em about a 2nd appeal. Heck I even thought you posted it…maybe it was “old ball coach” or “tarheel g”. I’m getting old and forgetful….but somebody said it.

Louisburg is 6-2 - 1-1 currently…..if they can just win one against Nash Central or Bunn…I think they could be eligible….if their RPI is high enough.

I apologize. I should have said "will not be eligible". In my projections (not posted), I do not have them qualifying based on my predicted results for them in the last two regular season games.

That is why I also questioned Graham being a #9. No way they beat Cummings and if they do lose, they will almost definitely not qualify.

I am more of a "if the playoffs started tomorrow " bracket poster.

I only project for the last week since the brackets come out the next day.
