Tuesday night on Talking Preps.

FWIW, Pisgah and Hibriten scrimmaged twice at the Chase 4-way. HHS had 2 Tds to PHS 1 in the first session. In the 15 minute session with referees and chain gangs, PHS scored the only TD. Good competitive matchup. Chase also looked good.

i think thats very wishful thinking, more likely 20-25

Yes! I think so from what I’ve seen.

Hibriten played a lot better in this scrimmage compared to the Crest scrimmage. I believe the competition was not the same as Wednesday. Hibriten, Pisgah and Chase appeared fairly equal IMO. Chesnee surprised me a bit, smaller school yet appeared to hang with the other 3. Overall a good scrimmage for all teams. The games begin next Friday, that's when we will all find out who has GAME!

umm yeah … crest has a tendency to make a lot of teams look bad

I’d say Montgomery Central would be higher than Central Davidson. Asheboro might be too.

Most of the great 3A programs have moved up to 4A. Statesville at 5, and East Lincoln 6th? Ashe suppose to be that good at 13? I am not sold on Statesville and East Lincoln being rank that high.

Whata trying to say LION? SP plays Belmont boys. Don’t have players transferring from all over the area. Some years the talent to compete on a state wide scale, just ain’t quite there.

They lost two games by a total of four points in spring ball. A couple different coaching decisions and they may have won both of them.
Yea, I think SP will make some noise this year. Time wii tell.

Didn't know Erwin was that down to be below North Buncombe

I'm not sure how it will work out with North having an interim coach, although Coach Shook has been on staff; but North does have a lot of talent and that school and area has been growing fast. Erwin was up and down in their scrimmages, they are young and gave up a ton to Murphy during the 10-play controlled portion, but held them to 0-0 in game situation.
