McMichael at Burns

Guess I'll get this one started. I know absolutely nothing about McMichael. Just a quick look at their games they have beaten some teams pretty soundly but got thumped by Reidsville. But Reidsville does that to most teams lol. Seems like both Burns & McMichael played in overall pretty weak conferences this year. Thoughts?

I'm gonna take Burns at home. That's a 2 hour bus ride to Lawndale for McMichael

Not really this will be a blowout

By mcmichael standards this is a much improved team. They are not completely terrible. They have a good backfield, qb is decent with a decent wr. Happy they had a good year, but not ready for a burns type team

You know it too! In the playoffs I will take a 1 point win every week but if we don't beat them by 40 then it will be looked at as we are not up to Reidsville standards. If people didnt learn from the Burns/EG Shelby/EG and Burns/Shelby matchup then they are not going to. Nobody inside our county was surprised Friday was close because around here you just never know. You have to be here to understand it. The only county I know of that you can go winless in the county and win it all.

McMichael made the playoffs in the spring, so why would they be happy just making the playoffs, considering they actually have a winning record this season.

You came in with this phony post to play down your cupcake conference mate in advance, so if Burns does indeed blow them out, then it’s “we told you so”. Yet, some of your guys did their usual bragging and chest beating, after y’all crushed them.

You’re tactfully playing them down, knowing good and well, if it’s tightly contested, you’ll be firing shots at Shelby and Burns. BBQ Man even took the opportunity to mention Reidsville’s speed, as if that’s scaring anyone down this way.

Let us not hijack their thread any further, though. Get tired of seeing “Reidsville” polluting most threads as is. It may not always come from any of y’all, but it gets tiresome, nonetheless.

McMichael has never beaten Reidsville and only a couple games would even been considered close (11 points)....Burns should blow them out but even if they don't...people in the know are aware that Burns would be more than capable of knocking off the Rams.....obviously as a Rams fan I like our chances but there also a couple of games to be played before that scenario even happens........and to you L.A......nobody is trying to "scare" anyone about speed.....just stating what was obvious if you watched that particular game...............

You got issues fella.

1. My post was not "phony". I commented on a team/school I've been watching play for a long time now and gave my honest prediction. You think everyone is playing games because that is your MO.

2. I have no tact.

3. Nobody hijacked the thread. The original poster included Reidsville in his opening post and I simply commented on the game at hand.

4. There is a reason Reidsville gets brought in to threads. You know why and I'm sure you do get tired of it. 😿

McMichael was 3-A until a couple of seasons ago and, along with Morehead, managed to get reclassified to 2-A before the new alignments/conferences were set for this season. The only thing they had to do to make the playoffs was beat Morehead in what became a split 2-A/3-A Conference. They were rewarded with a long trip to Croatan and a 55-7 loss.
But this is a much improved McMichael team - senior quarterback is pretty good and they have a couple of hard-running backs and a good-hands receiver.

Yea. I'm gonna go 35-14 Burns tomorrow. I feel like it'll be close for a half then Burns pulls away.

McMichael's new HC has turned them around quite a bit. He deserves a coach of the year award. Not many kids but they play really hard. Outhit and outfought two very athletic Forsyth county teams that on paper shoulda beat them. Burns shouldn't overlook them. But they should be fine.

After the EG game this year those boys will be looking at McMichael like they are Alabama. I promise you Burns isn’t overlooking them.
