exactly, they have a very potent rushing attack and SW was able to counter it. No reason the score should have ended the way it did, the way those boys played
Put too much of the offense in 14's hands...2 only played a piece of the 4th quarter, moved the ball and got the score
Our power runner and Senior leader PJ Thompson went out of the game in the 1st quarter. The Pirates surely missed him sorely for the rest of the game. Also Senior starting QB Williamson went out of the game too. The back up came in and threw a strike to Blackwell on a slant to go up 10-0 with around 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Page's defense was bend, don't break, until the last couple of minutes of the game.
Like I said, y'all figured out 14 early. SW should have mixed it up more. We were getting burn with out RBs but we don't give the ball to them enough or completely go away from them when they get stopped. It was coaching, you've got a top notch squad over there, they make make adjustments as needed and on the fly. SW does the same thing over and over ad nauseum. New wrapper same disappointing gift...
Oh, that was the dude that was "swinging for the fences". Surprised our guy didn't swing back
I wasn't at the game, and I tried asking people who were and they said they didn't see it, the only person who had a comment on it, said the farthest ref away from the "incident" was a line judge, he threw the flag. But yeah, I have no clue....
I didn't see it until our film was up. it was on the home side of the line. line judge had clear sight. He didn't have his fist balled up and it wasn't a forceful blow, but he did take a swipe and made contact with the kids helmet. Again right in the line judges line of sight.
