Everyone in the know, other than this self described expert on UM football, says that this is not true.

The real news will be the identity of the private firm who did the investigation and, even more interesting, who hired them. I sincerely hope the firm is the 4th and 1 Investigations and Protective Agency, LLC.
This one? 😀 Is Chistopher Day related to Otis Day of Otis Day and the Nights, or to Ryan? 🤔

Registered Address

Agent Name Christopher Day

The new contract would've made Harbaugh the highest paid B10 coach. With the allegations getting worse each day, my prediction is he knows he's on thin ice and he'll be a HC in the NFL next fall.
The WSJ article (and another WSJ article it links to) are behind a pay wall, but I am a subscriber so I can read them. From reading them, I can suggest that many of you are making this more complicated than it is. There is a specific NCAA rule against a team scouting another team in person. Harbaugh is accused of breaking that rule. That rule (which the NFL does not have) was originally established so that big-budget schools would not have an advantage over small-budget schools that couldn't pay to send a scout elsewhere. Of course the rule has become more important now that plays are signaled in from the sideline rather than sent in with a messenger.

So if the allegations are true, Harbaugh broke a rule. We all believe in law and order, right? So if the allegations are true, Harbraugh is as culpable as anyone else who breaks a rule.

Isn’t this why coaches cover their mouths with their play sheet so the opponent can’t read their lips? If you can get an advantage why not. That’s football!

We have one ex player that swears he would not have been any better if he knew the plays before they were called...
I would think if a player even had a 1 second vision to see what would happen before they do- they would become the greatest player in history.

Regarding Harbaugh political comments:
Since someone claimed that here and didnt care to elaborate I actually googled for them and here’s what I found

He’s a mixed bag that no one would care to cancel….
- openly anti-abortion
- openly critical of Trump’s proposed cuts to legal aid for poor people
- openly critical of Trump’s criticism of athletes’ right to kneel during the anthem.

I don’t care for his football program , but the guy is just a regular deeply Catholic libertarian rather than someone as extremist as Tuberville.

The University of Michigan police department told the Free Press on Thursday that it has been working with the FBI "for months" to investigate former Michigan football co-offensive coordinator Matt Weiss' computer case.

"The University of Michigan Police Department has partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the Matt Weiss unauthorized computer access incident," the police said in an email on Thursday.

It's all making sense now. Those scumbags just got too good to fast the last couple of years - had to cheat to do it. The nose picker will probably end up back in the NFL next year.

We're talking about Michigan's players. They are rarely overmatched from the start. Knowing the play that's been called... HUGE advantage. As soon as they see a "key" that signals their suspected play has been called.. BAMM.. they are on it.

Normally.. you watch your keys and suspect what's coming but have to make sure you are not being fooled.. GS always talks about it.. eye discipline. Trust.. but verify. They know what and who to key on to determine if they have been told the correct play that will be run. HUGE advantage.

Now.. if the talent disadvantage is significant.. or if one side is worn out more than the other.. you could know the play that's called and not be able to stop it. We did that to people with Ray Rice runs.. with Monangai runs this very season.

I’ve told the story before but in the 2009 USF game- JPP had a tell where Kevin knew he would dip his inside shoulder but then do a speed rush to the outside. 3 times and Kevin got him each time. On the forth time JPP caught in and did the same dip but continued inside and got a sack.
3 times Kevin knew what was coming and he won, 1 time JPP figured it out and he won.

Heard on a podcast that the firm was hired by UofM because they don’t have a true detective bureau within the campus police. Also the university when hiring the agency wasn’t looking at possible criminal activity more of a fire for cause Human Resources type of investigation. This is all because the athletic department more specifically the football operation wouldn’t grant access to computers and comply with campus police. They brought it upon themselves.
You need to start listening to different podcasts. None of this is accurate.

We shall see. Going to think it is closer to the truth than Harbaugh had no idea and that Stalion was a lone wolf.

Definitely not the "Shama Lama Ding Dong" one
Regardless, Jim seems like a guy of questionable character who would cheat to win at any cost. His own brother said as much:

We're playing, and you can picture the kind of game it is, right? Allison happens to hit a couple jumpers and we're playing to seven, and we're up maybe 5-1. Next thing you know, Jim starts going over the top of Allison for rebounds, he's boxing her out 10 feet away from the basket. Next thing you know, it's 5-5 and Jim has made all the shots for his team of course. I'm like, you know, maybe Addy would like to touch the ball? Maybe Katie or Jack could dribble a little bit now and then?
It goes 6-6 and a long rebound comes out the side, he goes and gets it. I see Allison happens to be over there, so I see him going to the basket, he's going to take Allison to the hole, you know, he's about 6'3", 235, so I'm going to go cut him off. I get him with my right arm bar across his chest and I'm trying to body check him into the pricker bushes behind the driveway, and he just powers his way to the basket, lays one over the top, a reverse layup off the board, and all he could talk about is how he won. He picks up Jack and says, 'Doesn't it feel great, Jack, to win? Doesn't it feel great to win?'
An hour later we were crossing paths in the backyard to go get a soda or something, and he looks me right in the eye and he says, 'Hey John, have you won anything yet?'"

Jim is like Pat Healy in the movie There's Something About Mary playing football against Warren and his friends.

It isn't that unusual for an entity to hire an outside firm (often a law firm) to do this kind of investigation. I doubt that the campus police would be thought to be a credible investigator.

Yea. I agree. But I think you might want to reply to umru who is disputing this. Lots of conspiracy theories from the UM crowd. Now it’s Ohio state planted all of the evidence and hired a PI to investigate with full access to UM computers. Hahahah. And they hired Ryan Days brother as the PI.

Almost every time you hear of things of this proportion, you usually hear of them hiring an outside firm. Except in the SEC

Yea that's why I made the post originally. An outside investigator hired by the University is common. Having the FBI involved is not. And the FBI is not involved because of a sign sealing scandal.

I don't see how he could be anti-abortion AND libertarian. If he doesn't wanna have an abortion...fine. But if he wants to tell others what they can and can't do with their bodies...that's not a libertarian.

May I respectfully suggest --and this applies as much to the person you are responding to (and the person *he* is responding to) as to you -- that we try to stay away from politics in this thread. It only spoils things for all of us.
