Only opening was first game because of move to new conference and MC added a pretty good game. Criticize all you want.

Not criticizing! Rocky Mount & Wakefield are middle of the road programs in 4AA. Nice pick up with the WF game. Middle Creek is still years away.

Rocky Mount is a really good 3A school, but they are still just 3A, and won't physically expose Middle Creek's weaknesses like any top tier 4A school will.

The Wake Forest pickup is excellent, though. Your coaches will get a chance to experiment in that game to try to counteract WF's size, and they'll know early on the season what worked and what didn't. Throw out the stuff that didn't work and spend the rest of the season honing the stuff that did.

Terrific job by Middle Creek getting a perennial title contender on the schedule. That's what you have to do to improve the program. Even if it means taking a couple of losses until you find some things that work, it's still worth it.

Wake Forest will have a pretty good non-conference schedule. Richmond is on there as well.
