1. We've got to learn to put teams away. We looked great the first 35 minutes then just plain quit playing. The last 25 was about as ugly as it gets. Still, when's the last time we were bitching about a 13-point road conference win that really wasn't that close.
2. As much hell as I gave him after the 1st 2 games, Devin Bell has looked pretty good lately. He's made 6 straight. They were all routine kicks, but he's hitting them clean and splitting the uprights down the middle. Those kicks would have been good from over 45 yards out.
3. The OL is still not where we need it to be. It looks to be better than last year, but it's still probably a year away.
4. As much as I've criticized Will Muschamp the last couple of years, he's doing a hell of a job this year. Hiring Wayne Pease as OC was a great hire. They are making good halftime adjustments and just steamrolling teams in the 2nd half. Who would have ever thought a team would beat LSU by running all over them like Florida did. 25 straight running plays in the 2nd half. They did call at least 1 pass, but Driskoll scrambled for a 1st down.
5. Auburn's offense makes a Sylvester Croom offense look good. Actually, it looks a lot like a Croom offense. Take a bunch of players that are suited for a spread offense and make them run a west coast offense. Easily the dumbest coaching in the league this year. I expected a lot less from Auburn than most people did this year (6-6), but they're a lot worse than I thought they were.
6. It's going to be a long year for Missouri. I thought they'd be competitive in the weaker East. But the East ain't so weak this year, and Mizzou isn't what I thought they'd be. Franklin has been a huge bust.
7. South Carolina is looking like they could win a national title this year. That team has it all. No weaknesses.
